The rivalry between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is getting interesting with each passing game between them. The current 3-match ODI series is on a knife’s edge, with both teams winning one match each.
Bangladesh hasn’t batted that well but the bowlers did a fine job of defending a modest target in the previous match. Sri Lanka is a stronger side, at least on paper. But they will need to implement themselves better on the field if they want to win here.

There are no reports of injuries from either side
We are expecting a bowler-friendly wicket for this match. It has been raining here over the last few days and there will be some moisture under the surface. The bowlers, especially the seamers, will get movement off the seam and the batsmen need to be careful while selecting their shots.
The pitch does get slightly better to bat on as the game progresses but overall we can expect a low-scoring game. The weather is likely to remain overcast and we may see some rain through the course of the match.
We are selecting Kusal Mendis in this category. He scored a half-century in the previous match and seems to be in fine form.
Najmul Hossain Shanto, Kamindu Mendis, Janith Liyanage, and Parvez Emon are the top choices here. While the batting hasn’t been the best on this tour, these are quite experienced batsmen and could play an important role.
Both teams have some quality all-rounders to choose from. We are going with Wanindu Hasaranga, Charith Asalanka, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
Tanzid Hasan Sakib and Asitha Fernando are the two seamers we are selecting. We are also picking up Tanvir Islam.
Wanindu Hasaranga has bowled well in this series and is the leading wicket-taker as well. He is also a dependable batsman lower down the order. We are therefore selecting him as the captain of our team.
Charith Asalanka is our choice as the vice-captain. He is a quality all-rounder as well and can earn points throughout the match.
Since the pitch is expected to be difficult to bat on, we are going with only 5 specialist batsmen for this match. Luckily for us, the two all-rounders we have selected are not only quality bowlers but can also bat well, and they bring balance to the team. The bowling attack is pretty balanced as well, thanks to the presence of two specialist seamers.
Charith Asalanka has 678 points from the last 5 matches at an average of 127 points per game.
Charith Asalanka (112), Janith Liyanage (107), Kusal Mendis (101)
Wanindu Hasaranga (7), Tanvir Islam (6), Asitha Fernando (5)
Charith Asalaka(4), Jaker Ali (4), Parvez Emon (3)
Kusal Mendis (136.48), Tanzim Hasan Sakib (125.92), Tanzid Hasan (95.83)
Wanindu Hasaranga (3.96), Maheesh Theekshana (4.00), Tanvir Islam (4.15)
