As expected, Sri Lanka picked up an easy victory in the first ODI of the series against Bangladesh. Although the margin of defeat was on the larger side, the Bangladesh team had some positives to take away from the contest. Some of their batters, such as Jaker Ali and Tanzid Hasan, batted well.
The Bangladesh bowlers also bowled well to pull back the Sri Lankan batting charge, which looked all set for a score over 300 runs at one stage. Sri Lankans, on the other hand, would be happy with the result. They played well despite some spirited opposition from the Bangladesh team in both the batting and bowling departments.

Bangladesh cricket team is in a transition stage. That apart, there are currently no injury updates available for this contest.
The curator at the R Premadasa Stadium is likely to use a batting-friendly surface for this contest. But the pitch will gradually slow down, and spinners might come into play after a while. The side batting first is likely to look at a score of over 280 runs to feel safe. There is a good chance that we will get a rain interruption during the contest. The temperature during this contest will remain close to 26 degrees.
Although there are some practical alternatives available for the wicketkeeper position in the fantasy team, we will go with Kusal Mendis due to his batting capabilities.

There are some good all-rounders on both teams, such as M Hasan Miraz, W Hasaranga, and C Asalanka.

Charith Asalanka, for his superb hundred in the first contest and his effective handling of the team, will be our choice for captainship.
Wanindu Hasaranga, for his all-around capabilities, will be our option for the position of vice-captain.
