After a sudden decision to abandon Punjab’s previous match, they are back in action this season as they try to book a place in the playoffs. With 15 points in 11 matches, they are relatively comfortably placed, and a win here will almost certainly take them through.
On the other side are the Rajasthan Royals, who have already been eliminated from the race to the next stage. Nevertheless, as they return to their home turf, they still have a chance to redeem themselves and exit the tournament on a positive note by winning the last couple of matches.

Both teams are awaiting confirmation regarding the availability of some of their key players, including Sanju Samson, Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, and Josh Inglis.
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium Pitch Report suggests that the conditions are likely to be good for batting. The flat surface is devoid of any grass, and the bowlers are likely to have a tough time here. While the new ball might do a bit, the bowlers will have to be very accurate with their line and length.
The conditions will remain warm and dry, and there is no chance of any rain. Also, since the conditions are dry, dew is unlikely to play a factor.
Prabhsimran Singh is the top pick in this category. He is in excellent form and is also the leading run-scorer for the Kings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, and Priyansh Arya are the obvious selections. As the pitch is likely to be conducive for batting, they can earn plenty of points.
Riyan Parag has done an excellent job for RR, especially with the bat. We are also picking up Wanindu Hasaranga. While he hasn’t been in the best of form, Hasaranga has the potential to play an important role with the bat and the ball.
Since two of our all-rounders can spin the ball, we are selecting two seamers here in Arshdeep Singh and Jofra Archer. We are also picking up Chahal to bring balance to the bowling attack.
There are quite a few contenders for the post of captain of the team, but we will go with Yashasvi Jaiswal here. He has been a consistent performer with the bat and could play another big knock here.
The vice-captain of our team is Shreyas Iyer. He has batted brilliantly in the middle order and is also quite sharp in the field.
We have selected plenty of batsmen for our team as we feel that the surface will be good to bat on. Since the conditions are likely to be dry, we have selected only two specialist seamers, along with 3 seamers who balance out the bowling attack.
Riyan Parag has 511 points from the last 5 matches at an average of 102 points per game.
