The stakes couldn’t be higher for Punjab and Mumbai as they play their last match in the group stage of the ongoing Indian Premier League. While both teams have already qualified, a spot in the top two is up for grabs and both teams would love to get an extra shot at making it to the finals.
While the Mumbai Indians are coming into this contest on the back of an emphatic victory over the Delhi Capitals, Punjab lost against the same opponent on Saturday and will hope to turn things around here.

There are no reports of injuries from either side.
As has been the trend this season, we are expecting another belter at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The dry and hot conditions mean that there will be very little moisture under the surface and there will be very little grass as well.
There might be a few cracks in the surface that the bowlers could aim for to get some movement and the odd ball might keep low as well. But any loose deliveries will be severely punished. The outfield is pretty quick as well and we can expect plenty of runs.
There is no forecast for rain and the weather will remain hot. Dew is unlikely to play a big factor here.
Prabhsimran Singh and Ryan Rickleton have both played well for their respective teams and we are selecting both of them in our playing XI.
As the pitch is likely to be good to bat on, we are selecting quite a few batsmen including Suryakumar Yadav, Priyansh Arya, and Shreyas Iyer. All of them can play the big shots with ease.
Both teams have some excellent all-rounders playing for them and we are selecting the three best ones, viz. Hardik Pandya, Marco Jansen, and Marcus Stoinis.
The bowlers are likely to have a tough time in the middle. Nevertheless, we are opting for 3 seamers Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, and Arshdeep Singh. All of them are well-versed in the conditions and are wicket-taking bowlers.
We are selecting Suryakumar as the captain of our team. He is among the leading run-scorers of the tournament and is the best batsman for Mumbai this season. He has played consistently well in the middle order and is likely to play another good knock here.
Shreyas Iyer is the skipper of our team. He is the leading run-scorer for Punjab and has played some impressive knocks over the last couple of weeks. He can also play the big shots with ease.
As the pitch at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium is good to bat on, we have picked up plenty of batsmen in our team who are all in good form. The fast outfield means that these batsmen are likely to score plenty of boundaries as well. While we would have liked to include at least one quality spinner, the uncertainty around Yuzvendra Chahal’s availability means we have been forced to go with 3 seamers. Nevertheless, they are all quite experienced and can vary the pace to get wickets.
Jasprit Bumrah has 542 points from the last 5 matches at an average of 108 points per game.
Suryakumar Yadav (583), Shreyas Iyer (488), Prabhsimran Singh (486)
Trent Boult (19), Jasprit Bumrah (16), Arshdeep Singh (16)
Suryakumar Yadav (30), Shreyas Iyer (29), Prabhsimran Singh (26)
Marcus Stoinis (193.84), Priyansh Arya (184.69), Naman Dhir (182.35)
Jasprit Bumrah (6.39), Mitchell Santner (7.60), Trent Boult (8.38)
