One of the most awaited matches of the ongoing Major League Cricket is set to take place this weekend as the two title-winning teams face off at the Grand Prairie Stadium.
MI New York won the inaugural edition but was unable to reach the finals last time around. Their form this season hasn’t been the best as well. But they played well in the previous game and will hope to do the same going forward. Washington Freedom are the reigning champions and have won two of the three matches they have featured in. They gave one of the strongest seam attacks in the league and will hope to exploit the conditions to the fullest.

There are no injuries to report from either side
The pitch at the Grand Prairie Stadium is expected to be balanced and we can expect a good contest between the bat and the ball. The seamers have generally enjoyed better success here compared to the slower bowlers because the pitch is likely to have some moisture and an even covering of grass. That said, the batsmen, once settled down, will have no problems playing the big shots.
The weather is expected to remain warm with no chance of rain.
Quinton de Kock has got decent starts this year and is the top pick. We are also selecting Nicholas Pooran. While not in the best of forms, he is one of the best T20 players around.
Glenn Maxwell scored a brilliant century in the previous game and is a natural choice. Kieron Pollard and Monank Patel have batted well too, and made it to our team.
Both teams have some quality all-rounders and we are spoilt for choice. Mitchell Owen, Michael Bracewell, Rachin Ravindra, Ian Holland, and Jack Edwards are all included.
Saurabh Netravalkar is the top pick here. He was the leading wicket-taker last season and bowled well in the previous match.
Mitchell Owen is known for his explosive batting and has played a couple of impressive knocks. He has also been reliable with the ball and we are therefore nominating him as the captain of our team.
Michael Bracewell scored a brisk half-century in the previous match and has also bowled well during the middle overs. He is our choice as the wicket-keeper of our team.
We have picked up quite a few all-rounders for this match as both teams house some of the best in the business. Also, both teams have some of the biggest strikers in the T20 format and we have tried to include them all.
Michael Bracewell has 543 points from the last 5 matches at an average of 108 points per game.
Monank Patel (175), Glenn Maxwell (149), Michael Bracewell (105)
Jack Edwards (7), Ian Holland (6), Mitchell Owen (6)
Glenn Maxwell (16), Monank Patel (10), Rachin Ravindra (9)
Rachin Ravindra (241.02), Mitchell Owen (228.57), Kieron Pollard (209.52)
Ian Holland (6.55), Jack Edwards (7.09), Sunny Patel (7.50)
