The current top-ranked team in the IPL, the Gujarat Titans, have one last shot at keeping themselves in the top two as they take on the Chennai Super Kings for their final match before the playoffs. The Punjab Kings and RCB are trailing GT by only one point at the moment and will be eager to replace the Titans should they slip here.
As for the Chennai Super Kings, the season is already over as they are staring at the wooden spoon. There will be plenty to introspect if they want to perform better next time around.

There are no injuries to report from either side.
We are expecting a belter for this match. The Narendra Modi Stadium has traditionally produced some flat tracks that have very little in terms of movement for the bowlers. The outfield here is pretty quick as well. There are some green patches that the quicker bowlers can aim for but any loose deliveries will be punished.
The weather will remain warm and humid. While the chances of rain are pretty slim, we may see some dew on the ground.
Jos Buttler is the obvious choice in this category as he has been one of Gujarat’s most successful batsmen of the season. Buttler can play the big shots with ease and is likely to earn plenty of points.
Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan are the two top choices here as they are the leading run-scorers of the tournament. We are also adding Shivam Dube as he is the leading run-scorer for CSK.
Barring Ravindra Jadeja, none of the all-rounders have performed well this year and we are picking only him for our team.
Noor Ahmad and Prasidh Krishna are the joint-highest wicket-takers of the tournament and make it in our team. We are also selecting Sai Kishore and Mohammed Siraj to add depth to the bowling unit.
We are going with Shubman Gill as he is in red-hot form with the bat. Gill has scored at least 35 runs in each of his last 6 matches, which include 4 half-centuries. He could play yet another big knock in this match.
Sai Sudharsan is the leading run-scorer of the tournament and is the vice-captain of our team. He has an excellent record against CSK and has scored 95+ runs in 2 of his last 3 innings against them.
As the pitch in Ahmedabad is batsmen-friendly, we have selected a team that has plenty of hard-hitting batsmen. While we would have wanted to include a couple more all-rounders, there hasn’t been a consistent performer except Ravindra Jadeja. We have also tried to balance the bowling attack by including two seamers and two spinners.
Shubman Gill has 641 points from the last 5 matches at an average of 128 points per game.
