Indian Women once again proved everyone wrong by winning the first ODI of the series against England Women. They have developed a habit of proving everyone wrong in a nice way. England will not be too disappointed with their efforts, though. Their batters and bowlers did a reasonable job, but the bowling attack was not penetrative enough to get regular wickets.
Indian women will be feeling great about the batting form displayed by their top and middle order. A target of 258 runs was not going to be easy in English conditions against an English team. But all their frontline batters contributed to the score to ensure that there were no hiccups during the chase.

Both skippers, Harmanpreet Kaur and Nat Sciver-Brunt, seem to have recovered from the injuries they sustained during the T20I series. There are no other injury updates available at the moment.
The historic cricket venue of Lord's in London will be used for this contest. The pitch at this ground will benefit both batters and bowlers. But the wicket will be at its best in the first innings, so it will be the right time to accumulate runs.
There is a possibility of showers towards the end of the encounter. It might bring the D/L equation into the picture. The temperature during the contest will remain close to 29 degrees.
Both Richa Ghosh and Amy Jones are excellent alternatives for the position of wicket-keeper. But due to her better performance with the bat, we will opt for Amy Jones.
The best batters for this contest are likely to be Tammy Beaumont, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol, Emma Lamb, and Sophia Dunkley.
Deepti Sharma was announced Player of the Match for the first contest. Nat Sciver-Brunt is also a competitive all-rounder and together with Pratika Rawal, Sneh Rana, Amanjot Kaur, and Alice Davidson-Richardson, these will be the top all-rounders for the contest.
The top bowlers likely to do well here are Sophie Ecclestone, Lauren Bell, Charlie Dean, Shree Charani, and K Gaud.
We reckon the English skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt will be the best alternative for the position of captain in this encounter. She is a valuable all-rounder for England and can be a game-changer with her batting, bowling, and leadership qualities.
We think Smriti Mandhana will be the best alternative for the position of Vice Captain due to her consistent batting contributions. She also captained the Indian side well in a game in the T20I series in the absence of the regular skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur.
After an impressive win in the T20I games, Indian women handed over another telling blow to England Women by winning the first game of the ODI series. They were right on the money in the first ODI as they beat the highly ranked England Women. However, a few factors are also in favor of England Women, such as the home turf advantage.
Having more Indian players in your Dream11 lineup may be the way to go here.
Sophia Dunkley leads the fantasy points tally with 100 points, followed by Deepti Sharma with 75 points. and Alice Davidson-Richards also with 75 points.
Sophia Dunkley also leads the batting charts with 83 runs, followed by Deepti Sharma with 62 runs and Alice Davidson Richards with 53 runs.
The top bowlers so far in the series are Sneh Rana, Charlie Dean, and Kranti Goud. They have all picked up two wickets each.
The only six hit so far in the series has come from Deepti Sharma.
Amanjot Kaur has the best strike rate of 142.86 in the series, followed by Sophie Ecclestone with 121.05, and Smriti Mandhana with 116.67.
Sneh Rana has the best economy rate of 3.10, followed by Sophie Ecclestone with 3.40, and Shree Charani with 4.60.
