TKR vs JT Match Preview

Trinbago Knight Riders did not make a good beginning to their CPL campaign this year. They were bowled out for a mediocre 113 when they were chasing 168 runs against St Lucia Kings. It appeared as if the Trinbago team had carried over their batting problems into this year's CPL form last year. But, in the next match, their middle order put up a terrific show with Trinbago chasing down a relatively large total of 180 runs with six wickets in hand. Nicholas Pooran was in splendid touch in this game with a 61 from 32 balls.

Trinbago also boasts of Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell in their ranks as finishers. They have also found a useful cricketer in their middle order in the form of Akeal Hossein. Hossein was provided an opportunity to bat in the number five position against Guyana. He scored 44 runs not out from 35 balls. But he did not seem to have impressed his captain with this effort. He was removed from the number 5 spot in the subsequent games. The strength of the Trinbago team lies in their middle order. Their bowling attack will be led by Sunil Narine and Andre Russell.

Jamaica has some high-quality bowlers in their ranks who did do well this year but the overall team effort appears to fall short of what is required. Mohammad Amir also did a good job picking up 3 wickets for 20 runs and even bowled a maiden over against TKR in their last contest. However, it was Kelvin Pitman who succeeded in getting rid of the dangerous Kieron Pollard. Knight Riders were restricted to a score of 142 runs after a terrific bowling display by Jamaica. Although Chris Green scored a valiant 32 from 16 balls towards the end of the innings, the Jamaicans could not win the game.

Another problem for Jamaica is Alex Hales who is struggling for runs near the top of the order. The Jamaica captain Brandon King has appeared to be out of touch. Everybody will be looking at Hales to stage a comeback for the Jamaicans. The middle order has appeared fragile for the Jamaicans and they are still not sure who the right batters will be for these positions. They do have a good bowling attack though in the form of Fabien Allen, Chris Green, and the all-rounder Imad Wasim. The skipper is more likely to rely on his bowlers to get the elusive win.

Dream11 Prediction

The Jamaican batters will be up against a quality bowling attack of Trinbago Knight Riders. On the slow wicket at Tarouba, they will have to face a top-quality bowling attack. These are not perfect conditions for the likes of King and Hales to stage a comeback. But the Jamaican bowlers will be happy with the track on offer. They will be keen on a repeat performance from the last game. But TKR has an overall stronger team and has a long batting line-up. There are several in-form players in the Trinbago outfit in all the departments. Knight Riders will begin as favorites to win this game.
