SOR vs TSKS Match Preview

The Orcas will rely on Quinton de Kock and Nauman Anwar to give the team a strong start here. De Kock hasn’t been at his fluent best but we expect him to bounce back soon, while Anwar has played well so far. The team has a couple of big hitters in the middle order in the form of Heinrich Klaasen and Shimron Hetmeyer.

Shehan Jayasuriya and Shubham Ranjane are promising young talents who can play the role of an anchor. Imad Wasim, who bats quite low down the order, can swing the willow very effectively. He is also a good spinner who has claimed 3 wickets so far. He will have the support of Harmeet Singh at the other end.

Coming to the seam attack, Cameron Gannon is the pick of the bowlers with 6 wickets. He, along with Andrew Tye and Wayne Parnell, makes up for a potent pace battery.

For the Texas Super Kings, Devon Conway has been in excellent form at the top of the order and will once again pair up with Faf Du Plessis. The latter hasn’t scored many runs and will need to play a bigger role going forward.

David Miller can score some quick runs during the middle overs, while Mitchell Santner and Dwayne Bravo are two capable all-rounders. The inclusion of Daniel Sams gives further depth to the batting.

Sams was excellent with the ball in the previous match, picking up 2 wickets for just 15 runs, and will lead the pace attack with Rusty Theron and Zia ul-Haq. Mohammad Mohsin is the leading wicket-taker of the tournament with 7 wickets and will feature in the spin department alongside Santner.

Weather Report

The weather is expected to remain clear with temperatures of below 30 degrees Celsius.

Pitch Report

Not many matches have been played at the Morrisville Stadium so it is difficult to predict how the surface will behave. However, we feel that like most T20 venues, the batsmen will enjoy the upper hand.

Notable stats

Dwayne Bravo: Ageless All-Rounder!

Dwayne Bravo has performed well with the bat as well as the ball so far. He has picked up 3 wickets so far and also scored 97 runs.

Team News

There are no updates regarding injuries from either side.

Dream11 Prediction

We are backing the Texas Super Kings to win. They have a well-balanced side at their disposal. The batting is quite strong and the all-rounders give them an edge. On the other hand, the Orcas are a bit lacking when it comes to spin, and the batting line-up isn’t as strong as that of the Super Kings.

Top Picks

Devon Conway: Conway has scored 129 runs so far, including 2 half-centuries in 3 innings, and is in fine form. He has a strike rate of 138.70.
