The Guyana Amazon Warriors were easily the best team during the group stage as they topped the table with just one loss. As a result, despite the loss against the Knight Riders in Qualifier 1, they have a second chance to reach the finals.

It has been a brilliant batting effort by the Amazon Warriors so far, especially by Shai Hope and Saim Ayub. Both of them are the top two scorers for the tournament by quite a margin and the team will bank on them to play another good inning in this match.

Shimron Hetmeyer, Keemo Paul, and Azam Khan have done a decent job in the middle order but have lacked consistency. Another weakness for the Amazon Warriors is the lack of a good opening partner for Saim Ayub. They have tried several players including Gudakesh Motie and Odean Smith, but to no avail.

The pace attack will be led by Dwaine Pretorius, who is also the top wicket-taker for the team with 14 wickets. He has received good support from all-rounder Romario Shepherd. Skipper Imran Tahir has bowled well over the last week, picking up 7 wickets in the last 3 matches. He, along with Gudakesh Motie, has picked up 25 wickets between them.

The Jamaica Tallawahs barely made it through to the playoffs after back-to-back wins towards the end of the group stages. They trumped the St. Lucia Kings in an Eliminator and will try to make it through to their second consecutive finals.

The batting has been a bit of a letdown for the Tallawahs so far. Captain Brandon King is the top-scorer for the team with 283 runs and will look to give the team a brisk start with Alex Hales. However, the middle order consisting of Steven Taylor, Shamarh Brooks, and Raymon Reifer hasn’t been in the best of forms.

Imad Wasim has been a reliable all-rounder, scoring 270 runs while also picking up 14 wickets. He, along with Chris Green and Fabian Allen makes up for a potent spin attack. Mohammad Amir has consistently bowled well and is among the top wicket-takers for the tournament.

However, he did pull a hamstring in the Eliminator, and updates regarding his health are awaited. In his absence, Salman Irshad might lead the pace attack alongside Shamar Springer and Raymon Reifer.
