AUS vs ENG Match Preview

Australia's batters are in great form. Steve Smith and David Warner have been more at ease in this format where they have time to construct an inning. Smith has scored 174 runs so far without being dismissed. Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head are also in good form and could get a big score too.

Mitchell Starc has bowled very well but going by the rotation policy we have seen, he may be rested for this match. Cummins and Hazelwood may well play this third match with Stoinis and Marsh filling in for the third seamer. Adam Zampa has been the pick of the bowlers and is easily the highest wicket-taker so far.

England has made a lot of changes to its playing eleven in this series and so you should be ready to make last-minute changes to your Dream11 team after the toss.

With Moeen Ali and Sam Curran in the lineup, England had more depth at its disposal but not having Jos Buttler was a massive blow. If the England captain does not play the next match, we think England will have a hard time avoiding a 3-0 scoreline.

Woakes, Curran, and Willey are not threatening as a bowling group and the spin-bowling options are expected to have a tougher time at the MCG.

Weather Report

The conditions in Melbourne are expected to be overcast but the chances of rain are low.

Pitch Report

The pitch at the MCG was quite lively during the T20 World Cup and at this early stage in the season, we can expect more of the same. Pace, bounce, and a lot of carry should be on offer.

Notable stats

Adam Zampa's Prolific 2022

Australia's leading spinner has taken 26 wickets in 11 innings if you see ODI's played in 2022. That is an unbelievable bowling effort from Zampa who is also the leading wicket-taker in this series.

Team News

Both teams may continue to rotate players and so some changes from the previous match are expected.

Dream11 Prediction

We expect a fast-moving match in which the quick bowlers will dominate. Batters that get in will have a good opportunity to make runs and we think something around 270-280 could be par for this venue. The spinners may struggle at the MCG.

Australia has the better team overall in these conditions and should end up winning.

Top Picks

Mitchell Marsh - The conditions at the MCG could favor someone like Mitch Marsh. not only does he have the power to clear the boundaries but he is also likely to bowl a few overs and benefit from the bounce. Marcus Stoinis is also a good pick for similar reasons.

Dawid Malan - The best batter for England in white-ball cricket over the last few months seems tailor-made for ODI cricket. He has scored a brilliant century in the tournament already and could be in line for another big score.

Josh Hazelwood - He has had a quiet series so far but the conditions at the MCG could be tailor-made for him. In fact, try and pick as many Australian fast-bowlers as possible.
