The Sunrisers Hyderabad continue with their aggressive brand of cricket in this season of the IPL as well. The team posted the second-highest total in IPL’s history in its opening match against Rajasthan and won the match by a handsome margin. The Rajiv Gandhi Stadium has become a fortress for the team and they will look to improve its already great record at the venue.
LSG on the other hand seems to be struggling to find the right combination of players. That said, there are plenty of talented individuals on the side and they will be hopeful of bouncing back in this match.

While Mayank Yadav is unavailable for selection in this match, Akash Deep and Avesh Khan are racing against time to be fit for this match. However, confirmation regarding their availability for this match is awaited.
The Rajiv Gandhi Stadium hosted high-scoring games last season and the first match of this season played here also saw plenty of runs scored. As both teams have some aggressive batsmen, it won’t be surprising to see plenty of runs scored here.
The quick outfield and short boundaries provide the batsmen with a lot of opportunities to score boundaries. We would therefore recommend selecting plenty of batsmen for this match.
The weather will be clear and the bowlers will need to work hard to pick up wickets.
There are 4 quality wicket-keepers playing this match and it is worth selecting all of them for this potentially high-scoring game. Ishan Kishan scored a brilliant century and is sure to bat in the top-3 while Pooran and Klaasen are also in terrific form. Rishab Pant is the only player that has yet to fire but he has a very high ceiling.
With 4 wk/batsmen already in the team, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh are the only two batsmen we can recommend here. Mitchell Marsh, though, is famously unpredictable and only has four IPL fifties in his entire career so far. David Miller can be a great option as well.
Abhishek Sharma is easily the best all-rounder in this match. The other picks could be Aiden Markram and Nitish Reddy. All big-hitters that can take important wickets as well.
The bowlers have had a tough time at this venue and there are only a couple of good bowlers who can make it to the playing XI. Mohammad Shami, Adam Zampa, and Pat Cummins are the most appealing choices.
Abhishek Sharma is our first choice for captaincy. He is among the most aggressive batsmen in the match and is also a handy bowler.
Nicholas Pooran has been a consistent performer for LSG with the bat. He has scored half-centuries in each of his last 3 outings in the IPL. He had a strike rate of close to 250 on those outings.
Looking at the recent games played in Hyderabad, we reckon that this match will be dominated by batsmen. SRH has batted brilliantly at home with all of its top-order batsmen contributing. LSG also has some brilliant batsmen and we have therefore selected a quality all-rounder and a batsman for captain and vice-captain respectively.
Nicholas Pooran (663), Abhishek Sharma (551), Ishan Kishan (367)
Nicholas Pooran (295), Abhishek Sharma (224), Ishan Kishan (198)
Harshal Patel (10), Mohammed Shami (7), Ravi Bishnoi (7)
Nicholas Pooran (7)
Nicholas Pooran (250)
Digvesh Rathi (7.75)
