Punjab Kings will be buoyed by their victory over their opposition in the previous fixture. They moved up the table after securing a fifth victory and only two losses in seven matches.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have been a team of mixed results so far. They have four wins and three losses after their seven matches. They remain in a competitive place on the table to target one of the play-off positions.
These teams’ previous head-to-head match went to the penultimate over, proving they are two teams with almost equally skilled squads.

Punjab Kings seamer Lockie Ferguson has virtually been ruled out of the remainder of the 2025 IPL
The clear and sunny conditions are likely to benefit the batters. The spinners may come into play in the latter half on a drier pitch. The teams are unlikely to produce 95 for nine in 14 overs and 98 for five in 12.1 overs again. The scores on this pitch are likely to be better for batting.
Phil Salt can wield the gloves, but is a strong batter in his own right. The Englishman has three centuries and 45 half-centuries in T20s, all while striking at a career strike rate over 155.
Tim David scored more than half of the team’s runs against Punjab previously. The Australian boundary-striker scored 50 off 26 not out while also taking two catches. Shreyas Iyer has the most runs between the sides in the current season, but he has a brilliant T20 high score of 147 too. 31-year-old Rajat Patidar will be looking to build on his IPL 2024 form where he scored 395 runs at a strike rate of almost 180.
Marco Jansen is a strong contender in this category. The tall left-arm South African has not fallen short of taking crucial wickets after a double against RCB, while also taking three wickets against KKR. Krunal Pandya could be the Bangalore all-round match-winner. With 1671 runs and 84 wickets in the IPL, he is more than capable of a noteworthy performance on the day.
Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal may be the best pick of the spinners at least. The IPL veteran took two wickets against his former employers. He has seven wickets in his last three IPL matches. Arshdeep Singh, after breaking a franchise record, will be steaming in. His consistency this tournament has brought him ten wickets.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, with his calm and experienced head on his shoulders, will likely clean up the opposition batters. He has taken at least one wicket in every innings this IPL. Australian Josh Hazlewood has quietly gone about his business with the new ball and went on to take eight wickets in his first four matches.
Phil Salt is likely to blow the opposition out of the water if given the opportunity to stay for the long run this game. The powerful wicketkeeper-batter has an IPL record which speaks for itself with 865 runs, eight half-centuries and a strike rate just over 177.
Josh Hazlewood could be worth your investment. His 12 wickets in seven matches this season put him as currently tied for first position for the most wickets in the tournament overall.
Both sets of batters will be lower on confidence after their teams’ previous batting innings. It may be worth banking on the experienced batters who know how to navigate the highs and lows of T20 cricket.
More than two-thirds of the wickets at the venue have been taken by the pacers.
The faster bowlers should get a look in with your squad. Adding a few spinners for variation would also keep the bowling attack as a tricky one to face.
Shreyas Iyer has the most Dream11 fantasy points currently with 531 points
Shreyas Iyer with 257 runs is on top with Virat Kohli only trailing by eight runs
Josh Hazlewood with 12 wickets has the most wickets
Shreyas Iyer has hit a phenomenal 20 sixes in seven innings
Priyansh Arya is currently the only batter across both teams striking at over 200. He has a strike rate of 209
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has the best economy rate with 7.95
