New Zealand has been playing without key players in this ODI series with some of its frontline bowlers nursing injuries. A fracture to Tom Latham also forced the team to change its playing XI. However, the relatively young squad has stepped up to the occasion and put up a clinical performance in the first game to give them an early advantage.
Pakistan on the other hand is playing with some of its most experienced players but has still struggled to come up with a good plan. However, with the series on the line, Pakistan will have to throw caution out of the wind and give their 100%.

There are no injuries to report from either squad
The pitch at Seddon Park is usually good to bat on but it is unlikely that we will get a very high-scoring game. The pitch has an even covering of grass and the weather is likely to be overcast as well. That means the seamers can expect some movement off the seam and through the air. Once the batsmen settle down, playing shots will get easier.
One can also choose good all-rounders for the team as they can contribute with the bat and the ball.
With Tom Latham not playing, Mohammad Rizwan is the automatic choice for this slot rather than the inexperienced Mitchell Hay of New Zealand.
Both sides put up a good batting effort on Saturday. Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, and Babar Azam are our key choices.
Selecting good all-rounders will be important here as the pitch is likely to be balanced. Michael Bracewell and Agha Salman have been excellent for their respective teams, while Muhammad Abbas has had a brilliant debut in ODIs.
Jacob Duffy and Haris Rauf have carried forward their excellent form from the T20 format and made it to our team.
Mark Chapman has an excellent record for New Zealand and scored a brilliant century in the last match. He has been on a roll recently and could play an important role yet again.
We are recommending Muhammad Abbas for this post. He was excellent with the bat as well as the ball in the previous game, scoring a half-century and also picking up a wicket.
This series has largely been dominated by the batsmen and that trend might continue. Both teams have good batsmen so choosing them shouldn’t be a problem.
The green cover on the grass and overcast conditions mean that seamers could likely play a role in this game.
Agha Salman (590) has the most points in the last 5 matches at an average of 118 per game.
Mark Chapman (380), Agha Salman (298), Mohammad Rizwan (247)
Michael Bracewell (8), Jacob Duffy (7), Nathan Smith (7)
Mark Chapman (6)
Muhammad Abbas (200)
Haris Rauf (3.80)
