Chennai Super Kings
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Both, the Chennai Super Kings and the Sunrisers Hyderabad are struggling at the moment and find themselves in the bottom of the points table. With more than half the Group stage already behind us, time is running out for both of them.
The MA Chidambaram Stadium, which was considered to be a fortress for CSK, has been breached quite a few times recently. CSK has lost each of its last 3 matches played at this venue and will be desperate to turn things around. On the other hand, SRH’s famed batting prowess is nowhere to be seen and as they play on yet another difficult surface, they will hope that the bowlers play a winning role here.

There are no reports of any injury from either side.
The Chidambaram Stadium has been one of the most difficult venues for the batsmen this year. While there are plenty of opportunities to score runs, they need to wait for loose deliveries to play their shots. The spinners could find the pitch suitable for them as the wicket tends to be a bit slow. The weather is likely to be warm and there is no chance of rain, there might be plenty of dew in the latter half of the game, making it difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball.
Heinrich Klaasen is our top pick here as he is the leading run-scorer for SRH this season. He has been pretty consistent throughout the last few matches and is coming into this match on the back of an excellent half-century.
The batting from both sides hasn’t been the best. Travis Head and Shivam Dube have done a decent job so far. We are also selecting Rachin Ravindra given his potential at the top of the order.
The all-rounders are the backbone of any team and we have two quality all-rounders in Ravindra Jadeja and Abhishek Sharma. We are also picking up young Ayush Mhatre.
The bowlers are likely to play an important role in this match. Noor Ahmad is among the leading wicket-takers of the tournament. We are also selecting 3 seamers, Pat Cummins, Matheesha Pathirana, and Khaleel Ahmed.
We are selecting Abhishek Sharma as the captain of our team. While not in the best of forms, he remains a strong batsman at the top of the order. He is also likely to get a chance to bowl here and could pick up a wicket or two.
Ravindra Jadeja is our choice as the vice-captain of the team. He has an excellent record at the Chepauk stadium with the bat and the ball and is also in decent form with both.
While both sides have plenty of quality players, their form is pretty average, making it difficult to choose the right combination. We have tried to pick a balanced playing XI as the pitch in Chennai usually provides equal opportunities to both, the batsmen and the bowlers.
Abhishek Sharma has 432 points in the last 5 matches at an average of 86 points per game.
Heinrich Klaasen (281), Travis Head (242), Abhishek Sharma (240)
Noor Ahmad (12), Khaleel Ahmed (11), Harshal Patel (9)

Noor Ahmad (7.66), Jaydev Unadkat (8.20), Ravindra Jadeja (8.66)
