The Chepauk Super Gillies are running hot with a current unbeaten streak and first position on the table. Their top-order batting has been superb in all their games.
Their Trichy opposition have not quite come with the same fortune. One win and three losses tell the story of a side which is desperate to get the rub of the green. Their most recent result was a win, so they may be looking upwards.

There are currently no injuries on record. Lokesh Raj was someone who struggled with injuries last season though but has been playing for Chepauk in 2025
The chance of rain is slight at only ten percent. Conditions will be predominantly cloudy, but extremely warm. The batters should be granted a pitch where they can score freely. These two teams scored more than 380 runs in their 2024 fixture at the venue. The highest wicket-takers in both innings of that match were pace bowlers.
Waseem Ahmed will deliver with gloves and bat. The wicketkeeper-batter has 309 runs in the TNPL with a highest score of 90.
Baba Aparajith has been relentlessly consistent in TNPL cricket. The star Chepauk batter has hit four consecutive seasons of more than 200 runs. K Aashiq’s current record in the tournament reads as a batting average over 30 with a strike rate of almost 145. The 24-year-old will deliver fireworks. S Sujay has remained a steady presence, particularly with 62 runs in his last two outings.
Vijay Shankar has experience around India in multiple forms. In the IPL, he has seven fifties with the highest score being 69. Abhishek Tanwar’s stats make for fine reading with bat or ball. With his left-arm spin though, he has already surpassed his tally of ten wickets from 2024. Sanjay Yadav knows how to motor along when boundaries are required. The 30-year-old batter hit 60 off 32 against Tiruppur. R Rajkumar is also not short on finding the boundary at will. The right-handed middle-order batter has a TNPL career strike rate of 150.39.
J Prem Kumar is starting to blossom as a bowler. He has raced to eight wickets in six matches with an economy rate of 6.83. Lokesh Raj has tended to be plagued by injury over the years. The last time he played against Trichy. He delivered with bowling figures of two for ten.
Athisayaraj Davidson has claimed two three-wicket hauls in 2025. He should be on course to take more wickets with him in a tough match against Chepauk. 27-year-old K Easwaran has taken 29 wickets in no time. In his 18 TNPL matches, he already has a five-wicket haul.
Baba Aparajith has hit two match-winning half-centuries this season. He could’ve even had four half-centuries in five innings with two other scores in the 40s. His strike rate of 153.64 is another characteristic to keep in mind about his batting.
Abhishek Tanwar will be looking forward to reigniting some of the fond memories against Trichy. In 2023, the spin-bowling all-rounder claimed impressive bowling figures of three for nine.
The batters may be your stars who get you points in this game. The Chepauk Super Gillies top order batting is currently the better of the two with a couple of batters hitting half-centuries in their previous innings.
The pacers have taken more than half of the wickets at the venue. 12 of the 17 wickets in the final game at the venue for 2024 were taken by pace bowlers. There should be some handy fast bowlers floating around both squads.
Baba Aparajith has been a classy batter this tournament, earning him 500 Dream11 fantasy points. Teammates Abhishek Tanwar and Vijay Shankar join him near the top of the list with 478 and 469 points respectively.
Baba Aparajith has been unstoppable with bat in hand. The batter has hit 232 runs in five innings and is miles ahead of the rest of the pack
Abhishek Tanwar is another player in front by quite a stretch. The left-arm spinner has 12 wickets with an average for this season of more than two wickets per game
Baba Aparajith has 14 sixes this season. He is joined by R Rajkumar with 12 sixes and Vijay Shankar with ten sixes for company
Swapnil Singh has sent the ball to all parts with a strike rate of 223.33. R Rajkumar at 216.18 and Dinesh Raj at 200 are some of the other batters with strike rates of 200 or more
K Easwaran has not given away much with his economy rate of 5.91. M Silambarasan at 6.06 has been another bowler not leaking many runs
