The Siechem Madurai Panthers will be hoping that the Chepauk Super Gillies start to let their guard down after doing all the hard work to secure their place in the play-offs.
The Chepauk Super Gillies may not give up their momentum that easily, though. At the vital part of the tournament, they will not let down any of their energy to keep the rest of the competition on their toes.
This will be Madurai’s final shot at creeping into the play-offs.

Both teams can go into the clash with no injury concerns to worry about. They have both been relatively injury-free throughout.
The overhead conditions will bring the seamers into play on a pitch which has traditionally fared better for the spinners. The batters should get value for shots on a surface which has seen scores of over 170 to 180 on a regular basis. The teams hit more than 370 runs in their match at thee ground last year.
Narayan Jagadeesan’s aggressive approach likely won’t change from the strategies which have brought him more than 2300 runs in the TNPL.
Baba Aparajith joins Narayan Jagadeesan in the club of batters with more than 2300 TNPL runs. He has 17 half-centuries and one century too. K Aashiq has gone like a train in this year’s TNPL. The opener has hit 164 runs in six matches at a strike rate over 140. Sarath Kumar is slowly building up a reputable batting record. The right-hander has almost 300 runs, while striking at over 130. Atheeq Ur Rahman continues to shine on this stage. The 27-year-old batter has two half-centuries in his almost 400 runs.
Abhishek Tanwar has racked up a number of milestones with the ball. The left-arm spinner has 12 three-wicket hauls, including one of those this season. Vijay Shankar having only scoring one half-century in the league may be surprising. His batting average of 28.58 and strike rate of 132.76 show the class of the batting all-rounder. P Saravanan’s record will look better with the ball, having taken 15 wickets in 20 innings. His lusty blows with a strike rate over 140 can swing the momentum of the game too.
J Prem Kumar has come into this match on a high. The fast bowler has pumped out 11 wickets in his past seven matches. Rohit Suthar only has a couple of domestic matches to his name. The left-arm pacer has four wickets in two innings domestically. Karthik Meiyappan has played for the United Arab Emirates in T20Is. At the international level, the leg-spinner has 23 T20I wickets. Although only featuring twice in 2025, Gowtham Thamarai Kannan has over 30 TNPL wickets in his career.
Baba Aparajith’s TNPL batting average of 46.60 reminds the rest of the league about his importance in the Chepauk Super Gillies lineup. His career strike rate over 130 is not too bad either.
Vijay Shankar has kicked up his level of batting consistency in the league in 2025. The all-rounder has 209 runs with a batting average of 69.67 and a strike rate of 158.33.
The weather should be a factor which makes the seamers a better pick compared to normal. The spinners have been more successful with wickets at the venue. Abhishek Tanwar should know his way around confusing the batters on this surface.
The high-scoring match in 2024 between Chepauk and Madurai could be an indicator of another batting track where the batters who can stay in for long enough will be destructive. The opening partnerships and middle-order batters could be among the biggest weapons in your lineup.
The Chepauk trio of Baba Aparajith, Vijay Shankar and Abhishek Tanwar should gather you a massive load of Dream11 fantasy points. They bring 463, 457 and 425 points respectively.
Baba Aparajith is five runs away from 300 runs in the tournament this year. Vijay Shankar is the only other batter over 200 runs.
Abhishek Tanwar at two wickets per game has been mighty with the ball. He has 12 wickets in six matches. J Prem Kumar has nine wickets in the same time span.
Baba Aparajith’s runs have come flying in boundaries. The massive boundary-hitter has slammed 21 sixes in six innings. That is almost double the 11 sixes of Vijay Shankar in second place.
Gurjapneet Singh’s main task is with the ball, but his strike rate of 211.11 is handy. S Dinesh Raj is another powerful batter with his strike rate at 200.
M Silambarasan’s economy rate of 5.80 is the best by far. J Prem Kumar and Gowtham Thamarai Kannan’s economies between seven and eight are useful too.
