Chepauk Super Gillies and Nellai Royal Kings both won their previous matches and come into this contest with confidence. Both achieved their victories through impressive chases. One of them will need to get comfortable with batting first for the first time this tournament.
The Chepauk Super Gillies’ superior net run rate currently puts them above their opposition. The Royal Kings will be confident after a complete team performance though.

Both squads can be confident of going full force into this one. Neither team is riddled with injury
Pitch and weather conditions will make for a sporting wicket. The warm temperatures and high humidity should keep the batters and bowlers both involved in executing their roles. The average first-innings score at the ground is 149. Chepauk have never lost a match at this venue.
Arun Karthik’s TNPL total career runs places him among the top five run-scorers in league history. Narayan Jagadeesan leads the league’s all-time run charts with 2260 runs.
Vijay Shankar has been a key signing for Chepauk by bringing IPL-level experience into their middle order. He has over 1200 runs. Muhammed Adnan Khan has been part of the Nellai squad consistently for good reason. The 24-year-old was striking at just under 130 runs per 100 balls last season.
Captain Baba Aparajith brings a daunting presence to the crease for his opposition bowlers. The Chepauk all-rounder sits third on the league’s all-time run-scorer list. Abhishek Tanwar has mainly worked his magic with the ball.
The medium pacer has 74 wickets in the tournament’s history. Sonu Yadav was a masterful part of the Nellai machine in 2024 with nine wickets and 103 runs, striking at over 150. NS Harish started off 2025 well with a 35 runs unbeaten and a wicket against Trichy.
Lokesh Raj only played a couple matches in 2024, but he maintained an impressive economy rate of just over six. Emmanuel Cherian’s debut TNPL season last year gave him a firm foundation to work from with four wickets.
Vijay Shankar’s expertise has started to be more on the batting side of things. Although he has 36 T20 wickets, Shankar’s 152-match T20 career is probably better remembered for almost 2500 runs and 11 half-centuries.
Baba Aparajith’s 2024 TNPL season would be the envy of many. He hit 234 runs with a high score of 72. He added a couple of wickets to those stats too.
You should look to find the middle ground between batters who can manage strike rotation on what may be trickier conditions to start and those who can clear the boundary consistently after the dust settles in the back half of the innings.
All-rounders are forever a valuable commodity in your lineup. They are a reasonable pick in conditions which batters and bowlers can benefit from equally.
The seam bowlers should be more likely to bring you points if they can maximise their use of the new ball in the powerplay.
Arun Karthik leads the charge for Dream11 fantasy points with 437 of them. Sonu Yadav also has over 400 points
Chepauk Super Gillies all-rounder Baba Aparajith has 77 runs. He is a fair distance ahead of the rest in the 40s
Sonu Yadav has three wickets. Both Abhishek Tanwar and Vijay Shankar have two wickets
Baba Aparajith hit a mighty impressive five sixes in one innings. Vijay Shankar hit three sixes
Mokit Hariharan is currently striking at over 200. Only Arun Karthik with 195.24 comes close to him
NS Harish has been great by going at only 4.67 runs per over. Emmanuel Cherian and Abhishek Tanwar join him in the club of players under six runs per over
