The winners of this Qualifier two will book their place in the final and ultimately give themselves a massive shot at the title.
Chepauk will need to take the less desired route of a loss in Qualifier one and winning this match to qualify for the final. Their momentum from the league stage should still be in the back of their minds.
Dindigul Dragons has already withstood the pressure of a straight knockout match in the Eliminator. Dindigul will smell blood after Chepauk’s first loss of the tournament in their previous match.

Both teams will be at peace knowing that neither of them will be carrying any injured players into a crucial knockout game.
The wicket would’ve had a fair bit of cricket on it by now. The second innings may not be as easy for the batters as most of the other games this season. With little rain around and extremely warm weather, you should be set to see a pitch which starts to slow down. Only four batters managed a score of 30 runs or more in the game between Chepauk and Tiruppur.
Narayan Jagadeesan showed the rest of the batting lineup how to slam the ball to all parts in a rain-shortened league match in 2024. The right-hander crashed 32 runs unbeaten in 14 balls in a resounding nine-wicket Chepauk win.
Vimal Khumar has seized his time in the Tamil Nadu-based league. The young batter has 525 runs with two half-centuries to show for it. Baba Aparajith was a key role player in Chepauk’s league win against Dindigul. He scored 56 runs against them earlier this year. Hunny Saini’s strike rate is arguably the standout feature of his profile.
The middle-order slogger is moving at a strike rate of 175. Mokit Hariharan has made several starts to his innings this year. His first innings of the tournament was 46 runs against Tiruppur.
Vijay Shankar’s batting stats were unbelievable after four innings. His unstoppable streak ended after it took him four innings to be dismissed with 148 runs behind him by then. Ravichandran Ashwin has hit two half-centuries this season. One of those was part of a phenomenal all-round effort against Chepauk with 67 runs and a wicket.
Abhishek Tanwar has acquired wickets at will. The right-arm pace-bowling all-rounder has pocketed 15 wickets in his past ten bowling innings.
Lokesh Raj made a name for himself after rushing to a five-wicket haul against Dindigul Dragons this season. The medium pacer ended with five for 13 in two overs. Varun Chakravarthy was another pivotal bowler in that match with three wickets. He ended up on the losing side but would’ve boosted his confidence with the ball. Ganeshan Periyaswamy has yielded a fine crop of wickets in recent matches.
The medium-pace bowler has taken six wickets in his past three bowling spells. J Prem Kumar came away with tidy bowling figures in the 2024 TNPL Eliminator against Dindigul Dragons. Kumar ended on two for 26 in four overs against his opponents.
Ravichandran Ashwin has both 396 runs and 13 wickets in his past ten outings. As an all-rounder, leader and inspirational player, Ashwin should be nailed on to get you maximum points. He single-handedly dragged the Dragons into Qualifier two after the resounding win in the Eliminator.
Vijay Shankar should be a default points-maker with his all-round capabilities. Like Ashwin, he has the potential to win games by himself. The Indian international’s quality has led to him scoring seven IPL half-centuries with nine wickets in addition to that.
Both squads will be stacked with players who can change the momentum of the game at any stage.
With this being the latter stage of the tournament, you may find putting your hopes in the experienced players giving you a better outcome.
The batters who know how to play on the slower wickets should give you the most value. That being said, the spinners with the best control will be top bets to do well on this surface.
Unsurprisingly, Ravichandran Ashwin stands tall with 639 Dream11 fantasy points. He is joined by fellow Indian international Vijay Shankar on 448 points. Baba Aparajith and Varun Chakravarthy are close to the 400-points mark.
Baba Aparajith has 345 runs for the Chepauk Super Gillies. Shivam Singh is another in the category of 300 or more runs this season.
Abhishek Tanwar may have slowed down in the past couple of matches but remains one of the best bowlers of the tournament with 13 wickets. Ravichandran Ashwin is catching up with 12 wickets. The Dindigul combo of Ganeshan Periyaswamy and Varun Chakravarthy has taken 11 and ten wickets respectively.
Baba Aparajith has cracked 27 sixes over the ropes. Aparajith’s brilliance is highlighted by Shivam Singh’s 16 sixes being a fair way off in the same number of innings.
The consistent batters who have made the news for demolishing the bowlers are Swapnil Singh, S Dinesh Raj and Hunny Saini. Their strike rates currently sit at 183.72, 181.82 and 175 respectively.
M Silambarasan’s economy rate of 5.54 highlights the tight lengths and lines with which he has bowled. The spin kings of Varun Chakravarthy and Ravichandran Ashwin have been remarkable too with economies in the sevens.
