Built more than 30 years ago, the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is among the most famous in Pakistan, having been the venue for a range of memorable moments over the years.  

It was at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium where Test cricket returned to Pakistan after a long absence, while the ground also regularly hosts Pakistan Super League and ODI/T20I matches as well. 

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium holds 18,000 cricket fans and it was one of the grounds used for the 1995–96 Cricket World Cup. It was also the international debut ground of the world's fastest bowler, Shoaib Akhtar, who was nicknamed the Rawalpindi Express as a result.  

No international teams have yet cleared 200 in a T20 here but high scoring is possible, with England having racked up 657 in a Test match played in 2022 on this cricket ground.
