Batting first, Western Storm women could just manage a score of 143 runs all out. The Sunrisers team managed to chase down this total in 33.5 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Western Storm lost the game by a margin of 4 wickets despite a valiant attempt made by their bowlers to come back into the match. Sunrisers chased the target with as many as 97 balls to spare.

The Sunrisers bowling was responsible for a collapse from Western Storm women in their last game. The merciless bowling attack paved the way for a win and a rise in the points table. Kate Coppack from Sunrises reduced the Western Storm batting order to 18 for 4 from 7 overs. Even though Emma Corney played a good hand scoring 34 runs, the Sunrisers' spinners restricted the Western Storm batters well to 143 runs all out. All the Sunrisers middle order contributed to their team's cause and Villiers was the pick of the bowlers with 29 from 24 balls.

The Western Storm women won the toss in this game and chose to bat first in dry and hot conditions. They were left reeling with Eva Gray and Coppack cutting through the Storm batting line-up. The Storm women did get some opportunities from the erratic fielding from Sunrisers women. Corney and Sophia Smale added 42 runs for the 6th wicket but Sunrisers picked up two wickets in one over to reduce the effect of this partnership. Nicole Harvey batted well for 25 runs but the Western Storm women were bowled out for 143 runs.

Northern Diamonds women played their 44th game against Southern Vipers in Gosforth on 5th September this year. This match saw Southern Vipers batting first and putting 261 runs on the board for the loss of 8 wickets. The Northern Diamonds made a terrific effort to chase down this target but fell short by 3 runs in the end. Georgia Adams was outstanding with the bat and ball. It was a pulsating finish to this game played at the South Northumberland Cricket Club. Despite the loss, Northern Diamonds women are still in contention for a place in the playoffs.

Sterre Kalis and Lauren Winfield-Hill made a terrific beginning to the chase by posting 52 runs on the board in their powerplay. Winfield hit 5 fours during the chase to reach a run-a-ball 29. However, she fell lbw in the 10th over. Kalis also hit the ball well while making 37 before she lost her wicket in the 19th over. Armitage took over at this stage to reach a 59-ball fifty keeping Northern Diamonds in contention. She also received good support from the Diamonds' middle order that brought the hosts close to the target.

One of the Diamonds batters that provided good support to Armitage was Emma Marlow. But she was dismissed for 20 and the Diamonds still needed 103 runs from 100 balls at this stage. There was a good partnership for the 4th wicket as well between Armitage and Rebecca Duckworth that realized 44 runs. Armitage managed to reach a hundred from 101 balls with 11 fours. But the Southern Vipers managed to hang on in the end. Georgia Elwiss ensured a win by bowling 6 good deliveries in the final over conceding just five singles and also picking up a wicket to ensure that the Vipers won the game.
