After sweeping the ODI 2-0, the home team managed to hold their nerve in the first T20 and gained an early lead. <br /> The bowlers did a fantastic job for the West Indies W in that game. All-rounder Hayley Matthews, who was the leading wicket-taker in the ODI series, has carried her form here too, picking up 3 wickets in the opening game.
She will once again feature in the spin attack along with Ashmini Munisar and Afy Fletcher. Chinelle Henry and Shamilia Connell are expected to start the proceedings with the new ball. The batting left a lot to be desired in the opening game and the team will be looking to rectify the issues here.
It was once again Hayley Matthews who was the top scorer here with 37 runs, while Shemaine Campbelle batted till the end to see the team through at the very last ball of the match. More will be expected of the top-order batters including Rashada Williams, Shabika Gajnabi, and Chinelle Henry.
