West Indies Women

The West Indies innings will be opened by Zaida James and Hayley Matthews in all probability. The one-down position for the side will be handled by Stephanie Taylor. The Irish opening partnership will be in the hands of Gaby Lewis and Leah Paul. Gaby Lewis did a good job for Ireland in the last game. The one-down position for the Irish women will be in the hands of Orla Prendergast. She is the backbone of the Irish batting lineup. The Irish middle order will be in the hands of Amy Hinter and Laura Delany. Laura Delany will lead the Ireland women's team in this series. She is a good all-rounder and the wicketkeeping responsibilities will be in the hands of Amy Hunter.

The Irish pace bowling attack will be in the hands of Cara Murray and Arlene Kelly. The Ireland women played their last game against Indian women. The Indian women won the match narrowly by a margin of 5 runs as the game was curtailed by rain. Batting first, the Indian women scored 155 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Due to rain, the revised target for Ireland women was set to be 60 runs from 8.2 overs. But the Ireland women succeeded in scoring just 54 runs for the loss of 2 wickets and fell short by 5 runs.

The best bowler for Ireland in this game was Laura Delany who picked up 3 wickets for 33 runs. Orla Prendergast picked up 2 wickets for 22 runs from her 4 overs while Arlene Kelly picked up 1 from her 4 overs. Gaby Lewis made a valiant effort while chasing this modest target with a quick 32 from 25 balls with 5 fours. She was helped on her way by Laura Delany who scored 17 from 20 balls.
