The fact remains that UAE could not pull off a middling chase on a ground where the chasing team has a massive advantage. Muhammad Waseem and Vriitya Aravind would be disappointed to not be able to convert their starts into something more.
Replicating another such performance can be difficult for UAE but it has certainly shown that it has the skills to challenge Bangladesh.

Bangladesh is struggling with its T20 cricket and we saw another very clear example of why. Had it not been for Afif Hossain who scored nearly 50% of all the runs for Bangladesh, the visitors could have suffered another major embarrassment.
Hossain and Hasan (the captain) managed to get Bangladesh to a respectable total. There were encouraging signs from some of the other batters and they will hopefully get their act together as well in the forthcoming matches.
Among the bowlers, Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the standout while Shoriful Islam and Mustafizur Rahman also did not do too badly. The fielding for Bangladesh was atrocious and made things worse.
On paper, Bangladesh should have enough talent and experience to be able to win this contest against the UAE every single time. As we saw in the previous match, though, the performances on the field have not quite lived up to expectations.
