After defeating the LA Knight Riders quite comprehensively in the opening fixture, the Super Kings were unable to maintain their winning momentum and were defeated by the Washington Freedom in the last match.

It was a failure of the team’s famed top-order, and they will look to iron out the problems before the start of this match. Devon Conway and Faf Du Plessis are among the most destructive openers in T20 cricket and will look to give the team a brisk start here.

Lahiru Milantha and Milind Kumar have struggled to perform on the big stage, and that will put a bit of pressure on the likes of David Miller, Mitchell Santner, and Dwayne Bravo to score runs. Bravo was in excellent form in the previous match, scoring 76 runs and also picking up a wicket. He will be seen in the pace attack alongside Gerald Coetzee, Rusty Theron, and Calvin Savage.

The latter two have been very expensive and will need to be more disciplined with their line and length. The spin department will feature Mitchell Santner and Mohammad Mohsin. 

MI New York

The MI New York got their first points of the season by scoring a big win over the Los Angeles Knight Riders in their latest fixture and have climbed up to second place on the table. However, there are certain issues that the team will need to.

It was yet another poor performance by the top order, as the opening pair of Dewald Brevis and Shayan Jahangir fell cheaply. Monank Patel and Hamamd Azam fell cheaply too. The middle-order batsmen once again raised their hands and stepped up to get the team to a respectable total.

Nicholas Pooran and Tim David appear in good touch and will once again play an important role here. The bowling on the other hand has been excellent. Each of the 5 bowlers used in the last match picked up 2 wickets and limited the Knight Riders to just 50 runs before bowling them out.

Kagiso Rabada and Trent Boult are in brilliant form and will once again lead the pace attack. They will be supported by Kieron Pollard and Ehsan Adil at the other end, while USA international Noshtush Kenjige is the specialist spinner on the team.
