Trent Rockets Women
The Rockets will have to rely a lot on the batting of Nat Sciver-Brunt (228 runs in 2022), especially now that Villani (182 runs) has left the team. India’s Harmanpreet Kaur and South Africa’s Lizelle Lee are both nice additions, as well.
Smith, who had 118 runs last year, was disappointing in her first game after scoring a duck, and unsurprisingly it was Nat Sciver-Brunt who led the team in runs with 49. Still, Kaur (22) and Lee (11) will have to do more to help.
Even though Smith didn’t help with the bat, she’s a terrific bowler and took two wickets in her first match, and we hope she can eclipse her effort of 9/125 from 2022. King is another bowler to watch (7/117 last year) and had one wicket in her first game.

Northern Superchargers Women
One of the biggest surprises for the Superchargers has been the fantastic batting from Kelly. She was fairly unspectacular last year with 40 runs, but Kelly has already had two great matches and totalled 63 runs. Litchfield has been up and down with 42* and a duck, but the team’s big signing of Rodrigues hasn’t quite paid off yet, as she’s made just 22 runs so far.
Thankfully, the Superchargers have several bowling options that can turn the tide of a game, including Davidson-Richards, Smith, and Wareham, who all have three wickets so far.

The bowlers of Davidson-Richards, Smith, and Wareham will have a tough time to slow down the bat of Nat Sciver-Brunt, but if they can remove her for a low score, then the game is on.

Nat Sciver-Brunt was one of the best batters last year and averaged 76.00 (228 total runs), so it's a good bet to make that she'll score over 22.5 runs. What's more, in the only game the team has played this year, she had 49 runs.
Although her duck in the second game was a shock, it came from a run-out, so we can't be too mad. She had 42* in the first game and she's looking in good form this year, so give her a chance. Plus, those odds are fantastic.
It will be close, but if you combine the two teams' first game fours, then it only amounts to 23. We think the pitch is decent for batting, but the bowling has improved lately and batters don't always have the advantage.
