After making a winning start against the Southern Brave in the season opener, the defending champions were forced to share points with Birmingham Phoenix in their most recent fixture, due to inclement weather. Trent is currently 3rd on the points table.
The Trent Rockets will bank on its strong batting line-up to get it to a big total. Alex Hales and Dawid Malan are likely to start the proceedings with the bat. Both of them are clean strikers of the cricket ball and will hope to get a brisk start.
Malan is also the all-time leading run-scorer in the Hundred. With batsmen like Colin Munro, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, and Sam Hain to follow, there is no dearth of firepower in Trent's arsenal. All-rounders including Imad Wasim, Lewis Gregory, and Daniel Sams add depth to batting.
