The Trinbago Knight Riders are the defending champions for this season but aren’t off to the best of starts this time around.

The team sorely missed the services of Deandra Dottin, who was the top-scorer of the last season, as they collapsed for a meager 73 runs against the Barbados Royals. However, she has been released from the Racheal Heyhoe Flint trophy and is likely to join the team in time for this match.

She will join Lee Ann-Kirby at the top of the order and look to give the team a solid start. Kycia Knight was the only batter who managed to reach the double figures in the last game and will once again be a vital cog in the middle order alongside Kyshona Knight and Mignon du Preez.

Shamilia Connell is likely to open the bowling with Marie Kelly, while Fran Jones and Anisa Mohammed make up for a potent spin attack. 

Guyana Amazon Warriors Women

The Amazon Warriors have lost both their opening games and are fighting for survival. Another loss in this game will put the team on the brink of elimination for a second consecutive season.

Except for Sophie Devine, none of the batters have had a sizeable impact on the proceedings. Devine is in prime form at the moment. She scored a brilliant century in the first match and followed it up with a gritty knock of 40 runs in the last match, albeit both were for a losing cause.

The Warriors do have some quality batters including Suzie Bates, Stefanie Taylor, and Natasha McLean, and will expect them to perform better. Coming to the bowling, Shreyanka Patil bowled a brilliant spell in the last match, picking up 4 wickets.

She will lead the spin attack and will be joined by Karishma Ramharack, while Cherry Ann-Fraser, Shakera Selman, and Shabnim Ismail are the 3 seamers on the team.
