After suffering 3 losses in 4 matches, the Sunrisers Hyderabad came back in style in their latest fixture against the Lucknow Super Giants as they decimated the team by 10 wickets. The hosts will now look to build up on the winning momentum and move up to the top two slots.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma are in tremendous form with the bat and are scoring runs at will. Head is the leading run-scorer for the team with 533 runs and has scored them at a phenomenal strike rate of 201.89. The team will want the duo to give them yet another strong start.

Such is the dominance of the two at the top that they end up covering for some middle order weaknesses. Betting on SRH to score more runs than their opponents in the powerplay, to hit more sixes, and to have a bigger opening partnership have all been very fruitful so far. 

The form of the middle order is a bit of a concern for SRH as barring Heinrich Klaasen, none of the batsmen have been able to play well. He too has struggled in recent matches as teams have foud ways to coutner him. The emergence of Nitish Reddy has helped SRH find more balance, though.

The seamers have bowled well for SRH. T Natarajan is the leading wicket-taker for the team with 15 wickets, while Pat Cummins and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar have 29 wickets between them. The spin department consists mainly of all-rounders and is no real threat to the opposition. 

Striking hard with the bat and bat early in the respective powerplays has been SRH's gameplan. If they lose early wickets or if the opposition gets off to a strong start, then SRH can get in trouble.

Gujarat Titans

The Gujarat Titans’ most recent match against the KKR was washed out due to rain, forcing them to share points. As a result, the team has officially been eliminated, and has nothing but pride to play for.

Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill put up a brilliant partnership of 200+ runs in the match against CSK. They played with freedom and showed that they still have some fight left in them. The problem for GT has been a lack of intent at the top but maybe at this late stage, with nothing to lose, they are able to find that top gear consistently.

Despite having some quality players in the middle order, the Titans have often failed to put up big totals. David Miller, Vijay Shankar, and Shahrukh Khan have all struggled to get going so far. This is not a batting lineup that inspires much confidence in current form.

The bowling has been rather underwhelming as well. While Mohit Sharma is the leading wicket-taker with 13 wickets, he has gone for close to 11 runs per over. Umesh Yadav and Sandeep Warrier have failed to pick up as well, while the famed spin duo of Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad has managed to pick only 18 wickets between them. 

The loss of Mohammad Shami proved to be pivotal for GT. We also think the lack of effectiveness that Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed showed in the middle was unexpected and hurt them badly.
