Seattle Orcas

The Seattle Orcas have shown excellent form so far, winning both the matches played. They are currently second on the points table, trailing their opponents, the Texas Super Kings in NRR.

The Orcas will rely on Quinton de Kock and Nauman Anwar to give the team a strong start here. De Kock hasn’t been at his fluent best but we expect him to bounce back soon, while Anwar has played well so far. The team has a couple of big hitters in the middle order in the form of Heinrich Klaasen and Shimron Hetmeyer.

Shehan Jayasuriya and Shubham Ranjane are promising young talents who can play the role of an anchor. Imad Wasim, who bats quite low down the order, can swing the willow very effectively. He is also a good spinner who has claimed 3 wickets so far. He will have the support of Harmeet Singh at the other end.

Coming to the seam attack, Cameron Gannon is the pick of the bowlers with 6 wickets. He, along with Andrew Tye and Wayne Parnell, makes up for a potent pace battery. 

Texas Super Kings

The Texas Super Kings have won 2 of the 3 matches they have played so far and are at the top of the points table. A win here will help them cement their lead there.

Devon Conway has been in excellent form at the top of the order and will once again pair up with Faf Du Plessis. The latter hasn’t scored many runs and will need to play a bigger role going forward.

David Miller can score some quick runs during the middle overs, while Mitchell Santner and Dwayne Bravo are two capable all-rounders. The inclusion of Daniel Sams gives further depth to the batting.

Sams was excellent with the ball in the previous match, picking up 2 wickets for just 15 runs, and will lead the pace attack with Rusty Theron and Zia ul-Haq. Mohammad Mohsin is the leading wicket-taker of the tournament with 7 wickets and will feature in the spin department alongside Santner.
