It was not the start that the Southern Brave would have hoped for, as they lost their opening fixture against the Trent Rockets by 6 runs. As a result, the team is in the bottom half of the points table. However, these are early days in the tournament and we expect them to bounce back soon.
With Finn Allen and Devon Conway opening the batting, the Southern Brave will be looking forward to getting a brisk start from them. Allen looked in good form in the last match, scoring 27 runs but squandered away a good start.
There are some clean strikers of the ball in the middle order, including James Vince and Tim David, but the team does lack depth in its batting. Vince, in particular, has been one of the most consistent performers on the franchise circuit for some time and could be someone to watch out for in this match.
