St Lucia Kings and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will play the 21st match of the 2023 Caribbean Premier League. The Kings and Patriots currently occupy third and sixth position, respectively, in this season's CPL six-team standings.
This match will showcase plenty of local and international talent as teams continue to vie for berths in the play-off stage of the tournament. Let's see what the betting odds and markets have in store.
St Lucia Kings and St Kitts vs Nevis Patriots head-to-head record
St Lucia have won three of their last four matches against St Kitts and Nevis. Two of those three victories came after batting first. The Kings and Patriots' first meeting in the 2023 CPL was washed out.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots
The Patriots have not won a match in the 2023 CPL. With six losses and two no-results to their name, they are desperate to get on the board. Victory here, though, wouldn't even get them off the bottom of the points table. St Kitts have a long road ahead of them. They have all but been ruled out of play-off contention already.
Their most recent defeat was to the Barbados Royals. There were good signs for the Patriots, even if those pointers didn't bring victory. Will Smeed's arrival as Andre Fletcher's opening partner looks a promising prospect. The pair put on 115 for the first wicket to push St Kitts and Nevis to a 200-plus total.
With captain Sherfane Rutherford delivering runs in the middle order and all-rounders Benny Howell and Corbin Bosch at hand to go big through the closing stages of the innings, batting resources are not necessarily the problem for the Patriots. Rutherford and Fletcher are St Kitts and Nevis' leading run-scorers this CPL.
It's their bowling department that seems to be the most threatened. They might open the bowling with spinner George Linde again, but the ongoing decision to deploy fast bowler Vasbert Drakes as third or fourth change is perplexing. Drakes is the Patriots' joint-leading wicket-taker this season. Perhaps getting him into the attack earlier could really catapult his form.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots Playing 11
Evin Lewis, Will Smeed, Andre Fletcher, Sherfane Rutherford, Dominic Drakes, George Linde, Corbin Bosch, Benny Howell, Oshane Thomas, Jyd Goolie, Ashmead Nedd.
St Lucia Kings
The Kings have three wins to show for their first six matches in this season's CPL. That collection includes two washouts. Their campaign has weathered a tricky start, but back-to-back victories - against Barbados and Trinbago Knight Riders - has them in a good position here.
Opener Johnson Charles impressed with a Player of the Match innings of 78 against the Royals recently. The Kings have Zimbabwean duo Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams in the middle order. Raza has taken over the captaincy after South African Faf du Plessis exited the tournament injured. It will be interesting to see if the additional responsibility limits or empowers Raza's roles with bat and ball.
While Johnson is closing in on 200 runs for the season, no other current player has even reached 100. Raza, Williams, New Zealand recruit Colin Munro and others need to start stepping up in support of Johnson if they are to genuinely contend for a play-off berth.
Bowling-wise, seamer Alzarri Joseph and spin duo Khary Pierre and Roston Chase continue to serve the Kings well. They have shared 21 wickets this season. Pierre and Chase have done particularly well in combination - and conditions in Tarouba could suit their partnership again.
St Lucia Kings Playing 11
Colin Munro, Johnson Charles, Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Roston Chase, Roshon Primus, Sadrack Descartes, Matthew Forde, Alzarri Joseph, Peter Hatzoglou, Khary Pierre.
SNP vs SLK Toss Prediction
The only two matches of the 2023 CPL season in Port of Spain saw a dominant trend continue - teams to win the toss are almost always choosing to bowl first. The same is likely in Tarouba, where conditions and circumstances can play into the hands of teams who want to chase rather than set targets.
Tarouba hosted four CPL matches last season. The toss-winning captain opted to bowl first in three of those. When Jamaica were the lone team to go against the trend and bat first, they lost the match.

Pitch and Conditions
CPL matches in Tarouba in 2022 yielded first-innings total as low as 106 and as high as 189. A first-innings score of 160-plus - perhaps more - here this season should be competitive. This will be the first match of the 2023 CPL on a fresh pitch, which should be full of runs.
The weather forecast is promising, with little to no rain in the region. We should get a full fixture in at the Brian Lara Stadium. Humidity levels will likely be high.
SNP vs SLK Betting Tips
The Patriots are really up against it here and look set for a seventh defeat of the season. The Kings have plenty of momentum on the back of two successive victories. Another win here would take them to the top of the points table.
St Lucia are priced as match favourites at 1.67. St Kitts and Nevis are priced as the underdogs at 2.20. It is well worth checking the markets for who will win the toss and the match.
Bonus Cricket Bets
The St Kitts and Nevis captain is their leading run-scorer this season. He is in solid form, having struck two unbeaten half-centuries in his last three innings.
Joseph is St Lucia's leading wicket-taker this season. He has done really well in conditions that have largely suited spin over seam. Joseph is primed to add a good few more wickets to the seven he has already taken in the 2023 CPL.
All-rounders make for good picks in Player of the Match markets. They can make a positive impact with bat and ball. Bosch is arguably one of the best all-rounders in this season's CPL. Uncapped at international level, the South African remains a major asset in domestic T20 cricket.
