St Kitts and Nevis Patriots
The Patriots will be hoping for a better season, as they finished in 5th place last season. Fletcher (229 runs in 2022), Rutherford (151), and Lewis (133) will again be the team’s most vital batters, but also keep an eye on new additions like Da Silva (46 runs in 2023) and Drakes (35 runs). Fletcher has had a bit of a slow start this season with just 24 runs, but he should pick up the pace.
The bowling has taken a bit of a step back, as Bravo (10 wickets in 2022),Dananjaya (6 wickets), and Pretorius (6 wickets) have all left the Patriots. Bravo, especially, is hard to replace, but Thomas (4/63 in 2023) and Drakes (3/71) have both had decent starts this year and should be enough of a threat to opposing batters.

Barbados Royals
The Royals are still looking for redemption after losing the CPL Final to the Tallawahs last season. Still, keeping Mayers is good news (366 runs in 2022), as well as Cornwall (242) and Holder (155). The addition of Powell (281 runs) is big, as he was a major part of the winning Jamaica squad last season.
There wasn’t much to be excited about in the first game, as Cornwall, Greaves, and Powell all had ducks, while Mayers (16 runs) and Wickham (10 runs) were also fairly disappointing. Young’s 48 runs aren’t likely to continue, as he’s usually in the team for bowling.
With the bowling, Ahmad is a great new player to the team, as he already took 2/35 this year. Holder is the certainly the most important bowler to the team, as he had 17 wickets last year and already picked up 4/38 in his first game. Mayers and McCoy will have to help a lot this year, too, as Bishop especially was a major part of the squad with 15 wickets.
