St Lucia Kings
The St. Lucia Kings played well last season to finish 3rd on the points table. However, they were knocked out during the playoffs as Jamaica Tallawahs defeated them in the Eliminator. The Kings will now be eager to exact revenge in this game.
St. Lucia Kings has a strong squad at its disposal and will be hoping to make the best use of the resources available to them. The team will be led by Faf Du Plessis, who seems to be getting only better with age. The St. Lucia Kings have managed to retain most of its core players from the previous season, including Johnson Charles, Alzarri Joseph, Roston Chase, and Matthew Forde.
The likes of Dasun Shanaka and Bhanuka Rajapaksa are likely to be unavailable for a couple of matches due to other commitments. However, the team will bank on the likes of Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams to put up a good performance.
The duo will add bite to an already strong spin department consisting of Peter Hatzoglou, Roston Chase, and Khary Pierre. The seam attack does look a bit weak as Alzarri Joseph is the only quality option available and the team may leak runs, especially at the death.
St Lucia Kings Playing 11
Johnson Charles, Faf du Plessis, Sean Williams, Kimani Melius, Sikandar Raza, Roston Chase, Roshon Primus, Matthew Forde, Alzarri Joseph, Peter Hatzoglou, Chris Sole.
Jamaica Tallawahs
The Tallawahs are one of the most successful franchises in the history of CPL and are also the defending champions for this season. That should give them plenty of confidence as they begin their campaign.
The Tallawahs have a strong batting line-up at their disposal, including the likes of Brandon King, Jermaine Blackwood, Shamarh Brooks, and Alex Hales. They will be looking to put up a strong performance and put up a big score to put the opposition under pressure.
There are also a couple of good all-rounders in the squad, like Imad Wasim, Joshua James, and Ben Cutting, who can contribute with the bat as well as the ball. The team is however missing Mohammad Nabi, who was a key performer for them last season.
The pace attack is quite strong, thanks to the presence of Mohammad Amir, Raymon Reifer, Shamar Springer, and Nicholson Gordon. The spin department does feel a bit understaffed though.

Pitch and Conditions
The pitch at the Daren Sammy Stadium is good to bat on and has an average first-inning score of around 160, which is a par score. However, the quicker bowlers will get some movement early on in the match and the batsmen will need to settle down before they can play the big shots.
The weather is expected to remain warm and humid with temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius.
SLK vs JT Betting Tips
Both teams will be eager to start in a winning fashion and we can expect a close contest between the two. However, looking at the bench strength of both, we think that St. Lucia has an edge over their opponents. They have some quality players in all departments who are up to any challenge thrown at them.
Bet on St. Lucia Kings to win.
Bonus Cricket Bets
The pitch at the Daren Sammy is predominantly helpful to the batsmen and there isn’t much help for the bowlers. If we take a look at the average number of wickets per match in the 8 matches played here last season, we can safely assume that we are unlikely to see 13 or more wickets fall.
Alzarri Joseph is the key bowler for St. Lucia and his role will be even more important as the team lacks variety in the seam department. Joseph is in good form of late as bowled well in the white-ball tournament against India.
