South East Stars

South East Stars are currently placed in 3rd position in the RHFT 2023 and they have successfully gathered 24 points from 9 matches. They have managed to win 5 games and have lost 4 matches. They have a second-best net run rate of 0.630 at the moment. The South East Stars at the moment are brimming with a lot of confidence when they became the first outfit to defeat The Blaze team in this year's edition of RHFT. This victory came on the back of a terrific bowling performance from SES bowlers.

This bowling performance was led by Freya Davies. She picked up 3 wickets for 28 runs within 9 overs while other bowlers such as Alice Davidson-Richards, Alexa Stonehouse, and Ryana MacDonald managed to pick two wickets each while dismantling the chart-toppers for a paltry total of 159 runs. They did not make a good start to their run chase and lost 3 scalps for 30 runs from their first ten overs. Another bowler Tazmin Brits managed to produce yet another terrific knock hitting 85 runs from 63 deliveries. 

However, South East Stars succeeded in losing a few wickets they eventually managed to cross the line with about 81 balls to spare. Tazmin Brits managed to be the best batsman in the South East Stars lineup in the last game. This South African batsman managed to join the side recently. However, this made a significant impact on the RHFT. She hit 112 runs not out from just 72 balls against the team Sunrisers. Brits followed it up with an excellent 85 from 63 balls. The Brits will be a good batter for the South East Stars. 

Western Storm

The Western Storm outfit is currently reeling right at the bottom of the points table with just ten points from eight matches. They have so far succeeded in winning just a single game and have lost 4. Western Storm ended up losing their most recent game against Southern Vipers by a margin of 4 wickets. Emma Corney succeeded in scoring 69 runs from 100 balls as well right at the top of the batting order before the other Niamh Holland and Fran Wilson provided a push to the scoring rate. Wilson struck 49 runs from 47 balls while Holland hit 44 runs from 43 balls. Western Storm hit 230 runs from 48 overs.

Piepa Cleary and Alex Griffitch succeeded in picking up 2 wickets each however, the Western Storm could not make sufficient inroads. The Western Storm bowling attack will be led by Lauren Filer who made a terrific impression in the Ashes series due to her fast bowling. As far as RHFT she played 4 matches during the season and picked up 8 wickets. She can even get better batters in trouble. You can back Lauren Filer to emerge as the leading bowler for the Western Storm outfit.

The Western Storm team played their last match against Southern Vipers on July 15. This was the 33rd game of the RHFT. The Western Storm team scored 230 runs from 5 wickets in 48 overs. The score unfortunately could not be defended successfully. The Southern Vipers team managed to chase down this target in 43.4 overs with 4 wickets to spare. They succeeded in chasing down the target with more than 26 balls to spare. Emma Corney scored 69 runs from 100 balls while Fran Wilson scored 49 runs from 47 balls. Niamh Holland scored 44 runs from 4e balls with 6 fours.
