SCT vs WI Team Previews
Scotland
Scotland has played well enough so far in the Qualifiers, but may find it too much against much stronger teams like Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. Still, a win against the West Indies would do them a lot of help later on.
The squad’s second-leading scorer right now is McMullen with 155, although that’s a bit of a red herring, as he made a huge 136 runs versus Oman, and 19 runs combined in the other three matches. It’s better to focus on Berrington (207) and Leask (148), but while both are talented enough, they never perform incredibly well against world-class bowlers. Joseph and Hosein can trouble them a lot!
In terms of bowling, spinner Greaves will challenge the Windies batters the most, as he’s had 9 wickets in his last two games and must be taken seriously as a great bowler. He had 4/32 against Sri Lanka, so he’s no joke as a spinner. We worry a bit about who comes after Greaves, as McMullen is capable with 7/98 but did most of his best bowling versus Ireland. Unless someone else steps up, the Windies could smash the Scottish bowlers around the ground.

West Indies
The West Indies losing to Zimbabwe is no great shame, but the team has to feel like they should have won against Netherlands, especially as the game was tied and had to go to a one-over eliminator.
The team is getting the most out of Pooran (296 runs) and Hope (263) across four matches, but you still have to feel that King has more to give. He’s made 128 runs so far, but he’s capable of better performances, especially after a duck against the U.S. and 20 versus Zimbabwe. His 76 against the Netherlands is a step in the right direction and the team will be counting on him, Hope, and Pooran to keep up the solid batting.
With the bowling, pacer Joseph is incredibly consistent with two wickets per match to have a total of 8/228, which is a very decent 5.70 ER. Joseph is regarded as one of the best up-and-coming fast bowlers in the world, so it would be a great shame for the West Indies to miss the World Cup. Hosein (6/205) and Chase (5/172) have been great, but much will fall on Joseph’s shoulders.

SCT vs WI Toss Prediction
Bowling first is seen as a good option, as the new ball on a fresh pitch is very dangerous. Batting later on is often a wise choice when the pitch slows down.

Pitch and Conditions
This pitch is rarely one that helps batters, as pace bowlers will find a lot of good bounce and swing. Any tiny misstep will be lethal for the batters at the crease, but spinners will have to work extra hard to find some turn. It’s usually not the highest-scoring venue, so expect a score of around 250.
SCT vs WI Betting Tips
This will be the biggest game for both teams, as it’s a must-win situation. The West Indies is an experienced, skilled squad with big names like Joseph and Pooran, but Scotland is sneakily good and occasionally has epic games from unlikely players.
The Fun88 odds for Scotland are very high, and even though the West Indies is the favourite, it’s not a terrible option to place a bet on the Scots. They have a couple of really talented players like Berrington and Greaves, and while the Windies are more likely to win, some crazy things can happen in these Qualifiers. The West Indies can lose simple games to teams like the Netherlands, so it’s never an easy path.
Bet on Scotland to win.

The team is getting the most out of It's a bit strange that Pooran's odds are quite high, considering that he's made the most runs (296) out of all batters in the four matches. Still, that's good for betting, as he's capable of huge scores already, like 104* against Netherlands and 115 versus Nepal.
Greaves is underestimated at times, but he can take a lot of wickets when in the zone. He's had 9 in his last two games, but more importantly, 4/32 against a tough team like Sri Lanka. He's a more than capable spinner and he's experienced enough.
