The South Coast Sapphires women lost their last match against Barmy Army women. This was the 14th game of the competition and it was played at the same venue in Kowloon. Batting first in this match, Barmy Army women scored 168 runs for the loss of 8 wickets from their quota of 20 overs. The Sapphires women never looked like being successful in their run chase as they lost the entire side for just 107 runs in 15.5 overs. Rubina Chhetry from the Barmy Army side scored 32 not out and also picked up a fifer to run through the Sapphires' batting order. She was declared the player of the match for this game.

Sapphires women won the toss in this game and put Barmy Army women into bat. Even though Barmy Army women lost a few early wickets, the inning was provided good solidity by Laura Wolvaardt. She scored 49 runs from 32 balls with the help of 9 boundaries. Shemaine Campbelle also scored 30 runs from just 17 balls with 5 fours. When the lower middle order for Barmy Army came into bat, Rubina Chhetry hit a 32 not out from 25 balls. The best bowler on the scene for Sapphires women was Jivana Aras who picked up 4 wickets for 32 runs from her 4 overs. Other successful bowlers from Sapphires that picked up a wicket apiece were Sana Mir, Kary Chan, Sibona Jimmy, and Aditiba Chudasam.

Surprisingly the Sapphires' innings got off to a decent start with Babette de Leede scoring 23 runs from 25 balls with 4 fours. She was involved in a useful partnership with Erin Burns who scored 21 runs from 17 balls with 4 fours. Tash Farrant was once again among runs scoring 32 runs in an even number of balls with 3 fours and 1 six. But after these batters got out none of the other batswomen could get in and play a big hand. The entire side was bowled out for 107 runs in 15.5 overs. Rubina Chhetry was the destroyer in chief for Barmy Army picking up 5 wickets for 11 runs from her 4 overs.

Tornadoes Women

The Tornadoes women's team also lost their last match in the competition to Spirit women. This was their 3rd loss in a row for them. The Tornadoes women won the toss and decided to bat first against the run of play. Their top order did a good job for the side scoring runs at a good rate. They set a target of 150 runs for the Spirit women. They lost just 4 wickets in the process. But the player of the match, Nicola Carey smashed a not-out 84 from 28 balls with 7 sixes to take her side home with plenty to spare. 

The Tornadoes' top-order batting did a good job during their inning with Sterre Kalis and Dane van Niekerk putting up a good partnership for the first wicket. This was followed by good innings from the skipper Stefanie Taylor who led from the front to score a 48-ball 61 with 10 fours in it. The Tornadoes women were 125 for 1 at one stage from 15.2 overs. But they kept losing a few wickets after this start and could not accelerate toward the end of the innings. This cautious approach was to cost them around 20 runs and make the target gettable for the opposition.

The Tornadoes opening ball bowlers did a good job for the team picking up some crucial wickets at the top of the order. But Nicola Carey came in to bat at the number 5 position in the batting order to knock the living daylights out for the Tornadoes bowlers hitting 7 fours and 7 sixes in 28 balls to take her side to an easy win. She was well supported by the opener Chantham in her efforts. The pick of the bowlers for Tornadoes was Aliya Riaz picking up 2 wickets for 15 runs. Other bowlers that were among wickets were Chanida Sutthiruang and Sita Rana Magar with one wicket apiece.
