Royal Challengers Bangalore has lost their last four games on the trot in this year's IPL. They are currently languishing in the second from the last position in the points table. They have had a terrible time in the competition despite their top batter, Virat Kohli, being in good form. In their last game, RCB put up a good score on the board. They scored 196 runs from their twenty overs for the loss of eight wickets. But this good total was easily chased by the Mumbai Indians for the loss of just three wickets with 27 balls to spare.

Despite the early loss of Virat Kohli, the other RCB batters, such as their skipper Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and Dinesh Karthik, hit half-centuries to propel the RCB score to a good score. None of the other batters were able to reach double figures. In reply, the Mumbai Indians top-order batters took the RCB attack to the cleaners. The Indians' top order pretty much hammered them. All their bowlers had an economy rate over ten. The RCB bowling attack will have to pull up their socks to do well here.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Unlike RCB, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team is going into this game after a couple of wins in their last few games. They have had much better fortunes in the competition and are currently in fifth position in the points table. SRH have recorded three wins from their last five games and have six points to their credit. They have a net run rate of +0.344. Sunrisers Hyderabad played their last match against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur. It was a keenly fought contest, but SRH held onto their nerves to score a close two-run win.

The Sunrisers’ inning in this game was based around a super fifty scored by Nitish Kumar Reddy. Reddy scored 64 runs from 37 balls with five sixes and four fours. Several other SRH batters were among the runs, although they did not raise a big score. Some include Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, and Shahbaz Ahmed. Pat Cummins was the most economical bowler during the SRH bowling effort and also picked up a wicket. The most successful bowler during the effort was Bhuvneshwar Kumar, with two for 32 from his four overs.
