He was well-supported during this effort by Amit Sathvik who scored a cameo of 22 runs. But there was a top-order collapse during the Salem innings with three wickets falling quickly.

Salem bowlers were in good nick during the Trichy innings. They succeeded in restricting their opposition to a score of 139 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. The pick of the bowlers for Salem was Abhishek Tanwar as he returned with figures of 3 wickets from 4 overs. And he gave away just 9 runs in these 4 overs.
