NOS vs BIP Team Previews
Northern Superchargers
The Northern Superchargers were pretty inconsistent last season, winning only half of the 8 matches they played during the Group stage. As a result, they finished 6th on the points table. Nevertheless, the team will be hoping to put up a better show this time around.
The team has retained quite a few players from the last season. Adam Lyth was the top run-getter for the team last time and is excepted to start the batting along with Tom Banton, while Adam Hose and Matthew Short will be seen in the middle order.
David Weise and Bas de Leede will peddle their all-round skills in the middle order. We can also expect Ben Stokes and Harry Brook to join the squad at a later date and that will be a big plus for the team.
Wayne Parnell will take over the reins of the team for this season and will spearhead the pace attack along with Reece Topley, Brydon Carse, and Matthew Potts, while Adil Rashid and Callum Parkinson are the two specialist spinners.
Northern Superchargers Playing 11
Adam Hose, Adam Lyth, Adil Rashid, Brydon Carse, David Wiese, Harry Brook, Matthew Short, Reece Topley, Saif Zaib, Tom Banton, Wayne Parnell.
Birmingham Phoenix
The Birmingham Phoenix played well last season but narrowly missed out on a playoff spot last season due to poor NRR. However, they will now look to make amends and finish in the top-3.
Moeen Ali will lead a more or less unchanged squad to Headingley as Will Smeed and Miles Hammond are once again likely to start the proceedings with the bat. Smeed was the top-scorer for Phoenix last season and comes into this tournament on the back of an excellent performance in the Vitality T20 Blast.
Chris Benjamin will replace Matthew Wade behind the stumps and will be a key player in the middle order. Birmingham Phoenix have a couple of quality all-rounders in the form of Liam Livingstone and Moeen Ali and both of them are among the top-10 run-getters in the history of The Hundred.
Ben Duckett and Shadab Khan are the two new additions to the squad and will be the players to watch out for. The pace attack is made up of Adam Milne, Chris Woakes, Kane Richardson, and Benny Howell and is one of the strongest in the League, while Tanveer Sangha replaces Imran Tahir in the spin department.

Pitch and Conditions
The Headingley Stadium generally offers batting-friendly wickets and we expect it to be the same for this match. The average first-inning score on this ground is around 160. As the weather is expected to remain overcast, the seamers can expect some amount of swing. Also, in case of an interruption due to rain, the team batting second is generally at an advantage. So that is something that the punters should consider while placing their bets.
NOS vs BIP Betting Tips
Since this is the first match of the season for both teams, it is a bit difficult to predict the outcome of this match. However, we think that the Birmingham Phoenix is at an advantage here. They have been more consistent of the two teams and have a strong team on paper compared to that of Northern Superchargers.
Bet on Birmingham Phoenix to win.
Bonus Cricket Bets
Liam Livingstone is the second-highest run-getter in the history of The Hundred. He has scored 173 runs in his last 6 appearances at an average of 34.60 and has scored at least 22 runs in 4 of them. We are therefore backing him to play well.
The pitch at Headingley is batting-friendly and has hosted quite a few high-scoring encounters in the past. With both teams having in-form batsmen with them, we can expect at least one to play a big inning.
