The Quetta Gladiators have won the toss in 4 of the last 6 matches that they have played. Seeing their luck, we expect them to win the toss yet again.
Usman Khan is in red-hot form this season. He was the leading run-scorer for the team in each of the last 3 matches that he has featured in. With such lucrative odds, it is worth putting our money on him.
Abrar Ahmed is the leading wicket-taker for the Gladiators this season. He has picked up at least 2 wickets in each of his last 2 outings at Karachi and was the top bowler for the team in both those matches. As the pitch at Karachi does help the seamers, Abrar is likely to bowl another good spell in this match.
Both, the Multan Sultans and the Quetta Gladiators will be aiming for a top-two finish as they face each other in the last group-stage match of the ongoing PSL. The match will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Both teams have faced each other in 12 matches to date. The Multan Sultans have won 8 of those matches, while the Gladiators have managed to win just 4.

The Multan Sultans had a tremendous start to their campaign and became the first team to book a place in playoffs. However, in a bit of a setback, the team has lost its last two matches leading up to this contest. While they are still at the top of the points table, they will need to win this match to remain there.
Usman Khan has been in scintillating form for the Sultans and has scored back-to-back centuries in his last two innings. He, along with Mohammad Rizwan, will be the key batsman for the team. Iftikhar Ahmed and Yasir Shah have chipped in with a couple of good knocks but will need to be more consistent, especially as we enter the playoffs.
Johnson Charles, who was playing his first match of the season on Sunday scored an impressive 42 of just 18 deliveries. The Sultans have a well-balanced bowling attack at their disposal. Spinner Usama Mir is the leading wicket-taker of the season with 18 wickets and is closely followed by Mohammad Ali, who has 16 against his name.
The latter will be joined by Abbas Afridi, David Willey, and Chris Jordan in the pace department.
The Quetta Gladiators have been rather inconsistent this season, managing to win only 5 matches from the 9 played so far. However, they have done enough to make it to the playoffs, and a win might even help them achieve a top-2 finish.
The openers, Saud Shakeel and Jason Roy have given the team some strong starts this season and will look to do the same here. Shakeel is the leading run-scorer for the Gladiators with 309 runs. The middle order hasn’t been consistent enough and that has cost the team a few matches. Rilee Rossouw, Khawaja Nafay, and Laurie Evans have all failed to build up a big score despite getting a good start.
The spinners, Abrar Ahmed and Akeal Hosein have bowled well to pick up 27 wickets between them. The seamers on the other hand have struggled, with Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Wasim Jr., and Sohail Khan being unable to pick up early wickets.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.
The pitch at Karachi is well-balanced. The seamers will be able to get the ball to move through the air and there is also some movement off the seam. The batsmen will need to be a bit careful when they face the new ball. Scoring runs get a bit easier as the ball gets softer.
The average first-inning score here is around 160. The spinners can get some turn if they hit the right areas.
The weather in Karachi is expected to be pleasant with temperatures around 23 degrees.
While the Quetta Gladiators have done well to make it through to the playoffs, we feel that they will struggle against a quality opponent like the Multan Sultans. The latter have a strong bowling unit that gives them an edge.
Bet on the Multan Sultans to win.
