The Multan Sultans began their latest campaign with a disappointing 1-run loss against the Lahore Qalandars. However, they have turned things around and have won each of their last 3 matches and are sitting at the top of the points table, with a 2-point lead over Quetta.
The batsmen have done a terrific job for the team, consistently putting up scores of over 170. Mohammad Rizwan is in sublime form, scoring 3 half-centuries in 4 innings, and is the top scorer for his team. He has received good support from Rilee Rossouw, who too has scored a couple of half-centuries. David Miller and Kieron Pollard are capable of scoring quick runs toward the end of an inning and will enjoy batting against the average bowling line-up of the Kings.
The bowling too has been spot-on, with young Ihsanullah spearheading the pace attack in absence of an injured Shahnawaz Dahani. Abbas Afridi, who played for the Kings in the previous season, has been in excellent form too, picking up 8 wickets in 3 matches.
Usama Mir will lead the spin attack, with all-rounder Khushdil Shah assisting him during the middle overs.

Karachi Kings
The Karachi Kings endured a horrific start to the season, losing each of their first 3 matches. However, they did manage to get back to winning ways in the last match, defeating the Lahore Qalandars quite convincingly.
Openers James Vince and Matthew Wade finally managed to get some runs under their belt, as the duo put up a 70-run opening stand against the Qalandars. Imad Wasim continued with his good form lower down the order as he played a valuable inning of 35 runs from just 19 deliveries to take the Kings to 185-5 in 20 overs.
During the second innings, the Qalandars were bowed out for mere 118 runs, handing the Kings a 67-run win. The Karachi seamers showed a lot of discipline as they picked up as many as 9 wickets. The team will expect Shoaib Malik to make a big score here as he has been in good form.
Muhammad Amir and Imran Tahir have struggled a bit with the ball but with the vast experience that they have, it is just a matter of time before we see them asking tough quotations of the opposition batsmen.
