It’s clear that Wolvaardt is falling short of her own talents this season, as she was the leading scorer in the entire league last year. However, this season she’s picked up just 93 runs for a mediocre average of 23.25. Her scores are quite reliable, but she’s failed to score past 40, and this is a league where fast scoring is important.
Dottin has done well with 105 runs, but the team isn’t getting enough from Lamb (51) or Campbell (45). With Dottin and Wolvaardt not having amazing seasons, you’d hope someone else stands out of the crowd with the bat, yet that’s simply not the case with the Originals.
Similar to Wolvaardt, Wellington was the league leader in wickets-taken last season, but she’s had a shocker of a year with poor figures of just 2/87. She’s failed to put any pressure on opposing batters and is being smashed around the ground. Morris is decent with 7/56, but most of those wickets came in a win over the Phoenix when she took 5/7. Ecclestone is also solid with 7 wickets and is probably the team’s most reliable bowler.

It’s not hard to see why the Superchargers have won three matches in a row, as Litchfield is playing on another level and has excelled in all three games. She has 187 total runs (a great average of 46.75), but her massive 68 runs in a victory over the Invincibles is one of the best performances of her career. We’ve also seen nice batting from Kelly (100) and Armitage (105). We’re not sure what’s happening with Rodrigues (64) and her poor average of 12.80, but the team is still managing to win!
The Superchargers are really winning games with their bowlers, as they have a great roster of talented players who can all contribute in equal measure. In fact, their top three bowlers have eerily close stats, as Smith (7/105), Wareham (7/105), and Davidson-Richards (7/108) all appear to be on the same page with their impressive bowling. Even Higham and Cross are helping out with 4 wickets each.

Although we think Litchfield is still the team's best batter, the odds are far more exciting to pick Armitage. Plus, Armitage has done well with 106 runs and had a great performance of 42 runs.
This one is tough, as Davidson-Richards, Smith, and Wareham are all bowling very well for the team and are sharing the success. Still, the odds are better for Davidson-Richards and there's a great return if she is the top bowler. She has 8 wickets and a top performance of 3/20.
