Montreal Tigers

The Montreal Tigers team played their last game against Brampton Wolves. In this 11th game of the Global T20 Canada tournament, the Wolves team batted first to put together a score of 143 runs all out in their stipulated 20 overs. Colin de Grandhomme was the top run-getter for them with 56 runs from 40 balls. He was also among wickets picking up 2 wickets for 8 runs. The Montreal outfit made a decent attempt at chasing down the total, but they fell short in the end by a margin of 15 runs.

Although Montreal succeeded in picking up an early wicket in the form of Aaron Johnson when Shakib Al Hasan removed him early, the wicketkeeper-batsman Usman Khan scored 33 runs from 21 balls with 6 fours to restore parity to the innings. However, the real impetus to the innings was provided by Colin de Grandhomme. As far as the bowling attack is concerned, both Aayan Afzal Khan and Carlos Brathwaite picked up 4 wickets each as both of them picked these scalps for 21 runs. Shakib Al Hasan and Abbas Afridi picked up a wicket apiece.

The Montreal Tigers opening batters also were dismissed early. But Shakib Al Hasan once again played a useful hand of 28 runs from 21 balls hitting 4 fours and 1 six in the process. Dilpreet Singh scored 24 from 20 balls with 3 fours while Dipendra Singh Airee hit 28 runs from 24 balls with 2 boundaries. Logan van Beek was the pick of the bowlers for Brampton Wolves when he picked up 3 wickets for 20 runs from his 4 overs. The main issue with the Montreal Tigers' innings was that none of their batters could make a move on after getting off to a good start. 

Vancouver Knights

The Vancouver Knights played their last game against Brampton on the 28th of July. This was the 12th game of the Global T20 Canada competition. Batting first Brampton Wolves scored 129 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Vancouver Knights responded with their batters nailing the Wolves' bowling attack to register an easy victory by a margin of 9 wickets. They chased down the target with 17 balls to spare. Ruben Trumplemann was adjudged player of the match as he picked up 4 wickets for 25 runs.

The Brampton Wolves team got off to a disastrous start with half the side getting dismissed for a score of 38 runs in 8.1 overs. However, some useful contributions from the lower middle order and lower order meant the Wolves team succeeded in reaching a reasonable total. Even then the total appeared inadequate but it provided a fighting chance to the Wolves bowlers. The pick of the bowlers for Vancouver Knights was Ruben Trumplemann who picked up 4 wickets from 4 overs for just 25 runs.

Other bowlers that were among the wickets were Junaid Siddique who picked up 2 wickets while Corbin Bosch and Karthik Meiyappan picked up a wicket apiece. The Vancouver top-order batting was in awesome form in this game with the first 3 batsmen scoring the requisite runs easily in 17.1 overs. Mohammad Rizwan and Corbin Bosch scored fifties while Fakhar Zaman scoring 21 runs as an opener. Rizwan hit 52 runs from 42 balls while Bosch struck 50 from 41 balls with 5 fours and 1 six.
