The Originals had a sedate start to their campaign but they have managed to gather steam as the tournament has progressed. They have secured back-to-back wins in the run-up to this contest and are currently placed 3rd on the points table. A win in this match will almost secure them a place in the playoffs.
Jos Buttler has consistently played well for the Manchester Originals and is the top-scorer for the team so far. Phil Salt has looked out of form for most of this season but scored a thumping 86 in his latest outing, making him a player to watch out for.
The middle order remains a big weakness for the Originals as Laurie Evans, Max Holden, and Ashton Turner have struggled to score runs. The bowlers will also need to do a better job going forward. With Josh Little departing for international duties, there is added responsibility on Josh Tongue, who will begin with the new ball along with Jamie Overton.
