While the batting for the LSG wasn’t up to the park in the first couple of matches, batsmen including KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Nicholas Pooran have gradually picked up form to make Lucknow a formidable batting line-up. All-rounders including Ayush Badoni and Krunal Pandya also add depth to their batting.
Kyle Mayers, who played a couple of devastating innings at the start of the season will have to play another good inning here and give the home team a good start. With Mark Wood back in the playing XI, the seam attack appears well-balanced. But the likes of Avesh Khan and Jaydev Unadkat leaked too many runs in the match against RCB and that is one area where the team will have to look into.
