The Lyca Kovai Kings were crowned as the joint champions in the last season and seem to have carried forward its excellent form to this season too. They scored a convincing 70-run win over iDreams Tiruppur Tamizhans in their opening fixture and are at the top of the table by an excellent NRR. However, these are still early days in the tournament and the Kovai Kings will need to continue playing well to keep themselves in the top 4.
The opening duo of B Sachin and Suresh Kumar looked a bit rusty in the season opener and fell cheaply. They will be looking to turn things around here and give the team a good start. The Kovai Kings’ batting will hinge on the performance of Sai Sudharsan, who is in excellent form at the moment.
He scored a brilliant half-century in the last match. The other batsmen in the middle order include Ram Arvindh, U Mukilesh, Atheek Ur Rahman, and Shahrukh Khan, all of whom are capable of scoring quick runs. Shahrukh Khan was, in fact, excellent with the ball too, picking up 3 wickets.

The Royal Kings will once again bank on its excellent bowling attack to reign in the opposition here. The seamers did an excellent job in the last match, picking up 5 wickets, and were quite economical too. Sonu Yadav, Lakshay Jain, and M Poiyamozhi were all among the wickets.
Sandeep Warrier bowled a brilliant spell, giving away just 5 runs in his 2 overs but was wicketless. Albeit, it is just a matter of time before he rattles the stumps. Mohan Prasath will lead the spin attack here and will be supported by all-rounders Arun Kumar and Karthick Manikandan.
Skipper Arun Karthik and Sri Neranjan will be looking to give the team a strong start here. Nidhish Rajagopal was quite impressive in the opening match and scored 42 of just 26 deliveries. The Royal Kings do bat quite deep down the order and that can be an advantage for the team.
