This is the second consecutive time that the Lyca Kovai Kings have made it to the playoffs. In the last season, despite finishing 4th on the table, they made it to the finals and shared the title with the Chepauk Super Gillies. They put up an even better performance this time in the group stage and finished at the top of the table.
Sai Sudharsan has batted extremely well for the Kovai Kings and is the top-scorer of the tournament with 371 runs. He will once again be the key player for the team in the middle order. S Sujay and Suresh Kumar have done a good job at the top of the order and will hope to give the team a brisk start here.
B Sachin and Ram Aravindh will add strength to the middle order. Shahrukh Khan slammed a half-century in the last match, displaying his all-round abo. He is the joint-highest wicket-taker for the tournament with 13 wickets and will lead the spin attack along with M Siddharth, who has 10 wickets against his name.
