Northamptonshire suffered three annoying losses in a row, but have brought things back with two straight wins. They’re in the sixth spot at the moment, and if the teams above them start to fall, then Northamptonshire could find themselves in the finals.

Leicestershire
Leicestershire will have a difficult time getting into the finals, as the team is stuck in last place in the North Group. The team can still improve for next season, however.
Rishi Patel is superb with his batting right now, as he's scoring at a swift clip (327 total runs) and even pulled up a fantastic 104 in a victory against Durham. Unfortunately, there is a big gap between Patel and the other batters, which helps to explain why Leicestershire is at the bottom.
Despite having respectable batting averages, Welch (211), Mulder (187), and Kimber (162) are not quite sufficient to lead the club to victory. Patel is currently under far too much stress as the only reliable batter.
The squad also struggles with taking wickets, and it's a terrible indication when Parkinson collects the most wickets with 14, followed by Ahmed with 9. Teams are often trampling over Leicestershire, since it doesn't seem like the bowlers will trouble the other team's batters.

Northamptonshire
Chris Lynn is a great batter (234 runs), but it's good to have a calming presence like Vasconcelos back in the team, as he missed a few games with a wrist injury. Lynn has scored well, but Vasconcelos is the pin holding everything together with 301 runs. Zaib's consistency is all over the place, but he can be useful at times with 238.
Given that Freddie Heldreich is unquestionably their top bowler and has impressive numbers of 16/250 for the season, Northamptonshire is relying heavily on him to keep them in games. As he took 4/27 against a strong team like Birmingham, it is also not by accident, but the skill is evidently there.
With 16 wickets so far, Australian fast bowler Andrew Tye is effective, but his 9.44 ER does not thrill us since he's still allowing too many runs.

Tye has 17 wickets, while Heldreich has 16, but this could easily change in one game. Heldreich's ER is 8.73 and he's great at getting consistent wickets. His highest this season is 4/27.
Each team only had 4 sixes in their last game, so there's a good chance it'll happen again. Vasconcelos isn't known as a big hitter, and Patel only occasionally goes for the fences. It may come down to whether or not Lynn has a big game. It's a fairly safe bet to choose the 'under' here.
Zaib recently made 70* and is the third-highest scorer on the team with 263 runs. He isn't too far behind Vasconcelos or Lynn, and his odds are far better to give you a solid money return. It's a good chance to make this bet now.
