Khulna Tigers

The Khulna Tigers have made a positive start to their campaign. The team has won both its opening matches and is sitting at the top of the points table. Also, the Tigers have the best NRR among all teams.

Anamul Haque and Evin Lewis are in excellent form at the top of the order. The duo put up a 77-run partnership in the last match in just over 5 overs to make small work of the 188-run target set by Barishal. Lewis was in a particularly belligerent mood as he smashed 53 of just 22 deliveries.

Anamul too went on to score a brisk half-century. There are plenty of talented batsmen in the middle order including Afif Hossain, Shai Hope, and Mahmudul Hasan Joy who can help the team score big runs. Faheem Ashraf and Oshane Thomas are likely to open the bowling with the new ball.

The duo has bowled well in both matches so far, picking up 7 wickets between them. Nahidul Islam, who picked up a 4-fer in the opening match went wicketless on Tuesday and will once again feature in the spin department alongside Nasum Ahmed. 

Rangpur Rangers

The Rangpur Riders lost their opening match against Barishal but bounced back in their next game by defeating the Sylhet Strikers on Tuesday.

The Rangpur Riders have plenty of all-rounders playing for them and the team will depend on them to deliver the goods in this match. These include Mohammad Nabi, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Mahedi Hasan. Azmatullah Omarzai had an excellent day with the bat against Sylhet as he scored 47 runs.

His unbeaten partnership of 86 runs with Babar Azam helped the team get their first points on the table. Babar, who was playing his first match of the season, scored an unbeaten half-century even as wickets continued to tumble around him.

Hasan Murad is the leading wicket-taker for the team with 3 wickets. He will lead the spin attack alongside Mohammad Nabi and Hasan Mahmud, while Ripon Mondal, Omarzai, and Hasan Mahmud will feature in the pace department.
